Missing Managers

Is Alex Cora for the Red Sox the only missing manager? Anyone know why this happens? Hopefully he’s the only one missing...unfortunately as a Sox fan I want to do my franchise with them. Maybe some of the roster uploads will add managers?

They never add first year managers.

Boone won't be in for the Yankees and the Nationals new one isn't either.

True, Gardenhire is not in......BUT, the announcers DO say his name, and when you make a pitching change, they say "Gardenhire out to make a change" or something to that effect.

So, he isn't in the game, but the announcers act like he is.

I hope in 19 that we can make managers and coaches and scouts would be a nice addition

I'm really surprised they added Mickey Callaway but not Aaron Boone. They usually obsess over every detail of Yankee baseball.

Callaway was an existing coach as a pitching coach in Cleveland. The game doesn't include bench coaches so that rules out Gardy, Martinez, Cora. I want to say that the missing managers and coaches were added to the game around the time of the first roster update last year.

Though as someone who likes to take on rebuilds including having quick hooks on my managers, I wish they did have bench coaches. Since Farm Director and Manager rely on the same attribute and grade set, I use farm directors as bench coach-ish staff members.

Well they are a bit short on details this year having a generic looking coach with a beard.. yeah I am sure everyone has a beard at the yankees

Yeah, Dave Martinez of the Nats is a white guy with jet black hair ... Rick Renteria (White Sox) likeness isn't all that close to the real thing. Although the guy in the game is a bit chubby with grey hair.

So they do end up adding them in later on?? I only ask cause that would definitely wait on that as i dont think i could play a whole season or multiple ones with a generic manager...
