Waivers?

Why are some players on waivers to start the season? Mark Trumbo from Baltimore is on there.

CPU logic has decided they aren’t going to be on the MLB roster and has sent them to AAA. But they were out of minor league options so they have to clear waivers.

What's odd is this is before I've done anything. I'm setting up my franchise and I am adding manual injuries to reflect real life. I went in to add Trumbo's injury but it won't let me because he's on waivers.

What date is it? Rosters are trimmed to 25 at the end of Spring Training. As soon as you advance to regular season the CPU will send down players.

IIRC the advised time to enter injuries is a day or two before the end of ST.

"Logic" isn't exactly a good word to describe the way this game handles things.

In the options menu, tab over to general and you can turn injuries either “off” or “manual.” Then go to DL list and you can hit R1 or L1 and that brings up all players... on that screen you can add injuries to each player.

Just remember if using 30 team control you need to do this for both profiles, depending on who you want to injure. And don’t forget to put them back to “on” once you’re done :-)
