Face scans vs created faces

The newer head rig mlb the show uses for their head scans is rather fantastic in my opinion but wow some of the created heads in the historic rosters are just flat out art! The Frank Robinson, Lou Pinella, and others really capture the essence of their faces marvelously.

Yeah with most of the legends they did good but for some they just look weird/bad.Like ted Williams is probably the worst looking legend he just looks nothing like real life teddy

Incredible that this is even a discussion of comparison. No one should be able to do better with a create a player tool than those with access to face scan technology.

not really. some of the legends in the Show have been dead for years and there are a few exceptionally talented face makers out there who dont have the limited time SDS does.then you throw into the equation that other legends with a facescan of how a person looks today vs 20 plus years ago, the end user has an advantage over the facescan.
its kinda like how humans can still beat supercomputers at chess. as flawed as humans are, they can still do some pretty amazing things
