    Hitting Tendencies

    Hey, just wondering what you roster makers do for the hitting tendencies. I'm looking through the spray chart on fan graph but couldn't decide what's best for those 5 different tendencies. I would say over 40, maybe 45% would be either extreme pull or push. ball that goes to center mostly or all field evenly would obviously be balance. but how would you decide on push or pull? maybe like under 30 or 25% on either side would make it pull or push depending on the sides?

    Any feedbacks/opinions would be nice.

    Another thing I noticed, I’d set it on pull or push, when I go in player profile for some, it shows the opposite. Which is right? The profile or edit screen?

        Wonder why they do that. Cause of their batting stance or some computerized crap playing games with our head lol.

          For switch hitters, you have to set them to push if they are pull hitters and vice versa.

          Always check the player card. That is the correct one. You have to fiddle with the settings sometimes because yes, the tendency is influenced by stance. Sometimes, balanced will give you the pull hitter tendency. Sometimes, the pull tendency will give you extreme pull.

            The developers calculate pull, balanced and push roughly as follows:
            Pull% >=45: Extreme Pull
            Pull%>=40: Pull
            Pull%>=34: Balanced
            Pull%<34: Push

              Awesome thanks Cyclonic! Never thought about the switch hitters and kinda figured about the stances. So yeah I went what the profile showed so I have it the right way after all.

              The spray chart is basically what i have. With some exception. If it’s like 40% pull but under 20 push, I make it extreme pull. And I had it under 30% pull to be push. Hardly any extreme push hitters. Though I may try under 30% as extreme push. May help with more extreme pull hitters since lots of the pull hitters in game seem to beat the shift opposite way easily. Gonna play around with that.
