How to add FA to current Rosters?

This is probably to dumb question but how do i release and add FA to my current roster? Ex. i want to release Adam Eaton from the White Sox and add him to the Angels. How is this possible?

In franchise mode trade for him.

If you’re just editing rosters go to roster control and go to player movement you’ll have to swap players but that’s the way to do it.
