High School Fictional Roster Project

This is a thread regarding a new fictional roster project I’ve begun putting together in MLBTS. I previously worked on a fictional project known as the IBU League, in which I made 30 custom teams and accompanied it with an entirely fictional roster. After finding out we couldn’t import rosters from ‘20 to ’21, I chose to start an entirely new project instead of recreating the entire IBU Roster

Roster Concept

The goal for this roster is to create the most realistic high school varsity baseball experience possible in MLB The Show. While there are plenty of limitations within the game that make this roster far from perfect, the idea is made possible by utilizing the two-way player ability, and drastically scaling player attributes. With team having between 15-20 players to match common varsity roster sizes, I’ve decided to make 60 fictional high school teams (utilizing all of AAA and AA), each with their own created stadium and logo that will uploaded to the vault.


While this roster has its bumps and bruises, I still think it’s a fun idea that I don’t think has been attempted before. Since it will be difficult to use this roster in certain game modes such as franchise, I’ve decided to put together a guide that helps players better understand the roster. Custom sliders have also been made to help make gameplay more ‘amateur’ like. Once the roster is finished and vaulted, a player spreadsheet will be available.

Currently have 30 of 60 stadiums in the vault

Right now I have a little over 450 players made, which is a less than half of my goal. havent had much time with my semester starting up but i still work on it here and there.

I’ve also been testing out the rosters and seeing what adjustments need to be made. A lot of works gonna need to be done before this get vaulted lol

This project was abandoned once it was revealed that year to year saves would not be in MLB22.

It’s unfortunate considering I had made roughly 700 CAP’s for this project, but not being able to carry the roster over to this years game was a big letdown

I’ve been considering starting a new fictional project in which I remake some of the CAPs from this roster… but with y2y saves unlikely to return it doesn’t feel worth it to spend that much time on a roster.

Hello. I am new to this game and was wondering how much time you spent building your teams. I enjoy playing the game and I'm not sure I use it 100% like you. I can't devote a lot of time to the game, although I am constantly in it mentally. I spend almost all my free time studying.
