Re: 2022 Hybrid Roster

Maybe this is a dumb question and hopefully is makes sense, but I'm curious how closely you rate players' more statistical based ratings. For example the H, K, BB, and HR/9 rating of pitchers which could be tied to some actual measurable long term stats.

I'm wondering because I was checking out the ratings of some of the Brewers' pitchers. One thing that I noticed was Corbin Burnes had a HR/9 rating of only 74. Over the last two seasons he has only allowed 9 HR and has a HR/9 of .39, which from what I could tell is the best of any SP over the last two seasons combined.

For comparison Brandon Woodruff's HR/9 is rated closely at 72, but over the last two season has a 1.06 HR/9. Excluding Jordan Hicks, who has a HR/9 rating of 91 and now seems to be 3-4 inning SP, Trevor Rogers has the 2nd highest HR/9 rating of any SP in the game at 81 but a somewhat high .9 HR/9 over the last two seasons. I imagine Hicks' HR/9 is going to get worse now that he is pitching more innings per game.

I was looking at H, K, and BB/9 as well and was considering re-rating some players I felt were rated incorrectly, but I started to go down a rabbit hole of research, and didn't know where to begin with a good rating scale. From a pure statistical aspect, the ratings for many attributes don't seem to have much consistency.

Anyway, I greatly appreciate the countless hours you put into re-rating the roster! Can't wait for it's release.

I found last year the /9 ratings for pitchers did change drastically which was what made the game much more playable for myself. I don’t know exact changes yet for this year because I haven’t started the pitchers as of yet but you should see a difference in the guys mentioned.

Re: 2022 Hybrid Roster

Looking to recruit 1 or 2 people to help input ratings- mainly pitch edits. Just want to get this finished quickly

I’ll take whatever time you can give. I’m looking right now for someone to work with myself and another volunteer to help input pitcher edits.
