    Potential Edit Roster 2022

    Hello everyone,

I wasn't sure if I was going to release my Potential Edit Roster this year after some rather harsh feedback on 21 but I have had a few inquiries so I thought I would post it for those that want it.

You know what I am about so I won't hash out the long details. If you are interested in my theories, you may check out my other threads.

    What this roster is:

    1. Potentials edited to allow for long term franchise stability.
    2. Based off of the first roster update that was released today.
    3. I did use a couple of CAPs from the vault. Any created player is of their creation and not mine.
    4. The roster I am rolling with going forward.

    What this roster is not:

    1. Accurate 40 man
    2. Accurate lineups and rotations
    3. A re-rated roster
    4. Error correction to players.
    5. Equipment edits.

If you are looking for a full re-rated roster, I would check out the others that are usually available on here.

This roster will not be a continuing project. I will not be updating it after SDS releases their first roster update. Unless if I find a major mistake or something I would like to change.

I appreciate feedback as long as it is constructive. Releasing this roster last year and being torn to shreds over it ruined the entire 21 cycle for me. I am more than happy to discuss my ideas in a constrictive manner.

Anyone may take and use this roster as a base for their own project as it is in the vault.

Hope everyone who uses it, enjoys it and embraces the potential edits and their benefits long term.

As always, I recommend draft class edits. You may check out my roster theories thread for what I do or feel free to ask her or PM me.

Glad to see your back this year. I enjoyed your take on potential edits. Last year I looked up your 2019 (i think that was the year) thread and used it as a guide to edit potentials on a end of the year roster for 21.

When u edited 22, I'm curious what your thoughts were on the ootb roster. Was it less work for you this year? The potential grades seemed better as I had glanced at them when compared to 21 and 20.

      Thanks.

It was less work. Without the fake players all with inflated potentials, it was easier to go through. There were still quite a bit that needed updated though.

One thing I did do different this year was leave the roughly top 20 or so prospects with A potential and separated the top 10 a bit. I found that last year that without morale boosts (which I am happy about) those too prospects needed a bit of separation from the rest.

Can’t wait to try these out. Really glad you’re still sharing this project and it is much appreciated. I think editing potentials plus the draft class edits are essential to longevity of franchise and keeping the rosters properly balanced. I know a lot of people play just one season but imo all the fun in franchise is developing players and building a team over the course of several years.

          Thank you.

I have actually been working on some updated new draft class edits because with the removal of morale on ratings, some adjustment to the process was needed. I will be writing them up in the next week or two and get them out. I am still in the middle of testing them on 22 and have been pleasantly surprised so far.
