2022 Oakland Athletics Edits

Hey, everyone.

I'll be taking a crack at A's edits for MLB The Show 22. While I've mostly devoted my time to Giants edits on here over the years, this will be my second time doing the A's. If you'd like to get an idea of how I go about edits, here's a link to one of my Giants threads from the past.

To sum up how I go about making and sharing edits:

• I'll be using Ridin's "Full Minors 22" roster as my base. I'll only be listing what needs to be changed; everything else can stay as is relative to this roster.
  
• Equipment edits are my bread and butter, and I'll be doing those for each player that I share.
  
• In situations where TC3 can't accurately simulate what a player wears on the road instead of at home, I'll just default to what they use at home.
  
• For players who bounce between AAA and the Majors (ex. Zach Logue), I'll use the equipment they used at the Major League level for edits. Ditto for Minor League players who have spent time in Athletics Spring Training before.
  
• When necessary, I'll do batting stance and pitching motion edits as well. Also, do check out raiderzride4free's thread for more on this topic!
  
• Last year, I dabbled with pitch edits for the first time, and I'll continue to do so this year. While I'm still not sure how to determine Break and Control ratings on my own, I will use Baseball Savant for information on pitchers' arsenals and average velocities.

Finally, one thing I'm not quite certain about yet is which timeframe I'll use for my equipment edits. By that, I mean that I usually like for equipment to reflect the first two weeks or so of the regular season. However, this year's Full Minors roster reflects the league as it was on May 7th.

What I think I'll do is if a player, say, changed their cleats in mid-April is just list both. So, I'll list their cleats from the first two weeks as well as the cleats they were using in early May. Hope that makes sense.

If, however, someone does an Opening Day edit of Ridin's roster (which has happened before), I may switch over to using that as my base.
