Pitch Speed 10

Curious if anyone else uses pitch speed at 10? I absolutely love it at 10 with the Retro batting camera. Also, does the higher pitch speed cause pull hitters to push hit too often?

Re: Pitch Speed 10

It amazes me that people with their sliders say it is user preference I don't agree having it up high makes guys like Chapman throwing 100 MPH a massive difference and really feels different to someone throw 92 MPH, you also strikeout more. the only issue is you probably have to put the off speed slider up too or the change ups are we too different

Yeah I play with both at 10. Love it. Am I late on more balls at that speed? Yes but you adjust after a while and it is great.

Yep, I play with both at 10, and I enjoy it. I'm not sure about pull hitters pushing too much, but MikeLowe says it does. I still use his sliders though, quality stuff imo.

Re: Pitch Speed 10

It also feels great when you pull a 100mph fastball for a home run. Beautiful fluid batting stride.

Re: Pitch Speed 10

One thing I noticed is that when you up the pitch speed. The batter strides seems to be more inline with timing. I use Carlos Santana's batting stance.

On pitch speed set at default my leg stride was coming up way short to where
I was waiting a few seconds before connecting with the pitch. I placed the speed at 8 and now the stride timing feels much more fluid as I would approach in real life.

Re: Pitch Speed 10

Here is how I set pitch speed:
1. go to bp with Aroldis Chapman pitching and pitch speed at 10.
2. sit dead red and swing at anything, trying to time his fastball to pull it.
3. adjust sliders if you can't pull a fb when sitting on it.
4. when you get it to where you are pulling the heaters you are sitting on, you should be done. Try getting a good AB or two now and you'll see that if you aren't sitting on it, you aren't pulling it.

Thoughts?

God no for me.

High inside fastballs give me enough fits as it is.

Crank it to 10 and id never connect with anything.
