Re: TNK MLB 2018 SLIDERS

I am 20 games in and really enjoying the sliders however neither I or the Cpu teams can hit any doubles. Could i fix this by increasing the solid hits slider and lowering either contact or power by 1. Any thoughts from anyone. Im useing directional hitring as well.

I would bump timing to 5 and reduce contact to 5 to square things up more on gappers. Just keep an eye on HR's. I go 5 on contact, power, timing and 4 on solid hits with pitch speed 5 and am 6th in MLB in doubles through 30 games.

For the CPU, these sliders pretty much match mine, but I have CPU power at 5 instead of 6 and still see a decent number of CPU 2B's.

Re: TNK MLB 2018 SLIDERS

TNK - RED SOX FRANCHISE
Game #24 of Season

Boston Red Sox (13-10) @ Toronto Blue Jays (14-10)
Pitching Matchup - Eduardo Rodriguez vs Jaime Garcia

Mookie Betts doubled to lead off the ball game and came in to score on a RBI single from Hanley Ramirez as Boston jumped out to a quick 1-0 lead in the 1st inning. Eduardo Nunez took Jaime Garcia deep for a solo HR to LF in the 5th inning to make it 2-0. The score remained 2-0 through 6 innings of play as Jaime Garcia was keeping the Jays in the game and Eduardo Rodriguez had great stuff and was shutting the Blue Jays lineup down through 6 innings on the mound, Rodriguez would get the first two outs in the bottom of the 7th before back to back singles by Morales and Pillar brought up Aledmys Diaz with two on and two outs. Rodriguez would remain in after a mound visit from the pitching coach and finish off his outing by getting Diaz to fly out to Betts in shallow RF to end the inning and send the game to the 8th inning with the Red Sox leading 2-0. The Red Sox blew the game open against John Axford in the top of the 8th as Bradley singled to lead it off, stole second base and came in on a RBI double from Christian Vazquez to make it 3-0. Benintendi singled with 1 out to set up runners on the corners. Axford would strike out Ramirez for the 2nd out and bring up JD Martinez who would turn on a fastball from Axford and hit a rocket into the 2nd deck in LF for a big 3-run HR to make it a 6-0 game. The Blue Jays had two men on with two outs against Matt Barnes in the bottom of the 8th and Yangervis Solarte smoked a ball deep to RF that just cleared the wall for a big 3-run HR to pull the Jays back into the ball game at 6-3. Craig Kimbrel came on to pitch the bottom of the 9th

* The Red Sox improve to 14-10 on the season with a 6-3 victory to even this 3 game series at one game each

* Eduardo Rodriguez was sharp as he pitched 7 shutout innings to earn the win and improve to 2-2 on the season

* JD Martinez was 1 for 4 with a HR & 3 RBI and is now hitting .234 with a team leading 9 HR and 20 RBI

* Eduardo Nunez went 2 for 4 with a HR as he continues to produce and is hitting .315 on the season

* The Red Sox improve to 5-3 on this 9 game road trip with the Sox and Blue Jays set to play the rubber match of this 3 game series tomorrow as Boston shuffles their rotation to have Drew Pomeranz slot in between Sale and Price. Chris Sale will get the start tomorrow for Boston against JA Happ for Toronto in the series finale

TNK - RED SOX FRANCHISE
Game #25 of Season

Boston Red Sox (14-10) @ Toronto Blue Jays (14-11)
Pitching Matchup - Chris Sale vs JA Happ

The Red Sox jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the 2nd as two runs scored on a RBI single by Christian Vazquez who has been hitting well of late. Jackie Bradley took a fastball from Happ deep into the 2nd deck in RF for a solo HR in the 4th inning to make it 3-0. The Red Sox blew it open with two outs in the top of the 5th as JD Martinez smoked a ball in the gap for a RBI double and Xander Bogaerts followed with a 2-run HR to CF to make it a 6-0 game. Chris Sale was cruising along until the bottom of the 6th when Randall Grichuk homered to LF to get the Jays on the board at 6-1. JD Martinez got the run right back for Boston in the 7th inning with his 10th HR as he lined a ball into the LF stands giving the Red Sox a 7-1 lead. Toronto got a RBI double from Teoscar Hernandez in the bottom of the 8th to make it 7-2 and Sale would depart as Heath Hembree came on and got Justin Smoak to fly out to end the inning. Andrew Benintendi went opposite way for a solo HR in the top of the 9th and Hembree would finish it off as the Red Sox win 8-2

* The Red Sox take the final game of this 3 game set in Toronto by a score of 8-2 and take two out of three from the Blue Jays

* The Red Sox wrap up this 9 game road trip with a 6-3 record

* Chris Sale's weird start to the season continues as he pitched a great game and earned the win but did not have a single strikeout in the game as he pitched 7.2 innings allowing 2 runs on 8 hits to earn the win and improve to 2-2 on the season with a 3.98 ERA

* JD Martinez is heating up as he went 2 for 5 with a double, HR & 2 RBI and Martinez had quite the 3 game series in Toronto going 5 for 13 with 4 HR & 7 RBI

* Xander Bogaerts, jackie Bradley and Andrew Benintendi all hit HR in the game for Boston

* The Red Sox will return home to Fenway Park to begin a 3 game series with the Tampa Bay Rays. Drew Pomeranz will take the ball in the opener of the series for Boston and he will be opposed by Yonny Chirinos for Tampa Bay

Re: TNK MLB 2018 SLIDERS

TNK - RED SOX FRANCHISE
Game #26 of Season

Tampa Bay Rays (8-16) @ Boston Red Sox (15-10)
Pitching Matchup - Yonny Chirinos vs Drew Pomeranz

The Rays got on the board in the top of the 1st on a RBI single from Gomez to take a 1-0 lead and would leave the bases loaded as Pomeranz flirted with danger but would wiggle out of the inning. Pomeranz would throw just two pitches in the 2nd inning as he felt something in his elbow and exited the game with an injury. Hector Velazquez replaced Pomeranz on the mound and the Rays would make it 2-0 on a RBI single from Wilson Ramos and leave the bases loaded again as Velazquez kept the damage to a minimum. Boston would answer in the bottom of the 2nd when red hot JD Martinez launched his 11th HR and Mitch Moreland would add a RBI double to even the score 2-2. The score remained 2-2 until the bottom of the 5th when Mookie Betts snapped out a prolonged slump as Chirinos left a slider up over the plate and Betts smoked a rocket into the monster seats for a two run HR to give the Red Sox a 4-2 lead. Joe Kelly pitched the 6th and 7th innings for Boston to keep the score 4-2. The Rays had two men on against Carson Smith in the top of the 8th and Daniel Robertson would slap a flare into CF for a RBI single to make it a 4-3 game before Smith would get Duffy to fly out to end the inning with the Sox clinging to a one run lead. Denard Span reached to begin the top of the 9th against Boston closer Craig Kimbrel and Mallex Smith came on to pinch run representing the tying run. Kimbrel would strike out Wilson Ramos for the 1st out to bring up CJ Cron. Christian Vazquez called for a pitch out and it was executed perfectly as Smith was running and Vazquez fired a perfect throw to nail him at 2nd base and Kimbrel would strike out Cron to end the game and record his 9th save as the Red Sox hold on for a 4-3 win

* The Red Sox get 8 innings of outstanding work from the bullpen and take the opener of this 3 game series by a score of 4-3 over the Rays

* Drew Pomeranz got the start on the mound but left the game with nobody out in the 2nd inning with tightness in his elbow. The Sox didged a bullet though as Pomeranz is out a few days and should be able to make his next start

* JD Martinez is on fire as he went 3 for 4 with a double & HR. Martinez has hit 5 HR in his last 4 games and raised his average to .262 with 11 HR & 23 RBI on the season

* Mookie Betts had been slumping of late and broke out with a two run HR to snap a 2-2 tie. Betts is hitting just .242 on the season with 3 HR and hopefully this will get him going offensively

* The Red Sox and Rays will play the 2nd game of this series tomorrow with David Price set to face Chris Archer in a good pitching match up

TNK - RED SOX FRANCHISE
Game #27 of Season

Tampa Bay Rays (8-17) @ Boston Red Sox (16-10)
Pitching Matchup - Chris Archer vs David Price

The Red Sox took a 4-0 lead in the 2nd inning before the Rays chipped away and made it a 4-3 game in the late innings. Craig Kimbrel came on to pitch the 9th and allowed the first two men to reach before Hechavarria would bunt the runners into scoring position setting up men on 2nd & 3rd with 1 out. The Rays tried a squeeze play with Rob Refsnyder but Kimbrel would run a fastball in on the hands that Refsnyder popped up for a huge 2nd out. Daniel Robertson came up with Tampa down to their final out and Kimbrel would escape with the save as Robertson flew out to Betts in RF to end the game as the Red Sox hang on for a 4-3 victory

* David Price improves to 4-0 on the season

* Craig Kimbrel picked up his 10th save

* The Red Sox offense came all in the 2nd inning when Rafael Devers and Jackie Bradley each hit two run HRs

* The Red Sox will look to complete the 3 game sweep of the Rays tomorrow with Rick Porcello taking the mound for Boston against Blake Snell for Tampa Bay
