I used the Giants in testing too and didn't see many HR's as they do not have a lot of power. I now have 6 through 5 games with the Yankees with OSFM rosters.
I am using MLB the show 15 view. I think that would be a good idea to bump up cpu contact. I’ll try that when I play next.

I might try the pitch speed up 1 and go back to 5 on solid hits.

Moved CPU contact to 7 and foul frequency to 3 and will test this over a few games. First game was a 4-2 Yankee win, with Stanton driving in 3 of those on his 1st and 2nd HR's of the season. Still struck out 12, but 5 of those over the last 3 innings by that filthy Yankee pen, Chapman struck out the side in the 9th. Yankees now 3-3.

I am very happy with the offensive sliders, but may end up going back to HOF pitching as I want to play as close to default as possible.

Testing HOF for Pitching, might be the way to go, but need more samples

Game 1 4-3 win vs Orioles in 11 innings
Baltimore 3-7-0 2B-1, HR-1, BB-3, K-15

Game 2 4-2 loss vs Orioles
Baltimore 4-7-0 2B-2, HR-1, BB-6, K-7

Applied the following adjustments to OP slider for HOF pitching
Human Control-4, Human consistency-5
CPU Foul Frequency-3, CPU Solid Hits-4, all other CPU hitting sliders on default. If these prove solid over a few more games I would much rather go this route than jack up CPU control to 7 on All-Star

Updated OP moving to HOF pitching (AS adjustments also there if you want to stay at that level) but I really wanted to shave off a couple of CPU K's without knocking anything else out of proportion, while also staying as close to default as possible and this was the answer. I am getting some good results, which I will share as I move on with my Yankees franchise. Please share feedback if using these, the bigger the sample the better.

I think it is getting close with the beta set in OP

Last game vs Red Sox
Yankees 5-9-0 HR-2, BB-3, K-9 (Judge and Walker went deep)
Red Sox 4-10-1 2B-3, HR-1, BB-3, K-8
Really happy with CPU K's now and Severino started this one, had 5 K's in 6 innings. The Sox send Sale to the hill next. Current record 6-5.

OP is updated with "final" barring and patch damage, franchise sliders for quick counts. I am getting really good variety with HOF pitching as set, as well as All-Star hitting, but I did include HOF hitting adjustments if more of a challenge is needed.

Re: BYU 14's "Old Guy" Quick Count Sliders for the Show 18

BYU - Great to see you worked on another good set. I haven't had the time lately to tweak a good set, so I am going with yours and start from there. I too am a Quick Count player. I believe it gives a better game and you get a good variety of walks and strike outs. It also makes you a little more patient. I will let you know how I make out.

I will probably do a new modifier sheet for this year so it allows for a little more variety throughout the season. I will post that to my blog when it is done.

In the few games I have played so far I noticed that it appears the fielders are running better this year and (0) zero is not a good number like I used last year so that is good. I will keep you posted.
