I will probably do a new modifier sheet for this year so it allows for a little more variety throughout the season. I will post that to my blog when it is done.

In the few games I have played so far I noticed that it appears the fielders are running better this year and (0) zero is not a good number like I used last year so that is good. I will keep you posted.

Coach

Thanks Coach, looking forward to your feedback. I noticed the same with runners below 4, and even saw a difference in the angles they took, so sticking with 4 speed/reaction for now.

Started a new franchise with OP sliders and OSFM 1.5 rosters. First series against the Jays.

Game 1
NYY 13-17-1
TOR 2-8-1
Yanks: 2B-3, HR-4, BB-3, K-8
Jays: 3B-1, BB-3, K-14
Outlier game here, Stroman lost pitch confidence early and Tanaka pitched as well for me as he has in the last 2 versions of this game. This lineup is capable of outbursts like this, so this didn't worry me.

Game 2
NYY 2-8-1
TOR 0-3-0
Yanks: 2B-2, BB-3, K-6
Jays: 2B-1, BB-2, K-11
Severino was filthy, great duel between him and Sanchez

Game 3
NYY 4-8-0
TOR 2-6-0
Yanks: 2B-1, HR-1, BB-3, K-4
Jays: 2B-2, HR-1, BB-4, K-6
Another good battle, Judge who homered twice in the opener gets his 3rd HR

Game 4 10 innings
NYY 6-7-0
TOR 7-16-1
Yanks: HR-1, BB-5, K-9
Jays: 2B-2, HR-2, BB-3, K-8
CC pitched well, but the Yankees pen blew a 6-3 9th inning lead on a 3 run bomb by Donaldson and Betances did his Betances thing in the 10th walking 2 and giving up a seeing eye walk off single.

Just had a fun game in the Yankees 2nd game of a series against the Rays, Tanaka vs Archer. Archer had a 1 hitter going into the 6th and a 2-0 lead, but the Yanks knocked him out of the box with a 7 spot, capped by a 3 run shot from Greg Bird. Aaron Judge added his 5th homer and 10th RBI in the 8th.

TB 2-4-0
NY 8-7-0
Rays: 2B-2, BB-0, K-4
Yanks: 2B-3, HR-2, BB-2, K-8

I am going to institute a house rule though and not influence hit away from the shift. It leads to too many cheap doubles, 2 of my 3 came this way. So I will just hit with no influence against the shift and let the cards fall where they may.

I have been playing slideritis lately. Get a couple hits I would lower something and then get weak contact I would raise it again. I decided to plug these in for 3 games tonight in my Giants franchise.

Game 1
Dodgers 9 12 0 2-2B, 2-3B, 2-HR, 3 BB, 8 K
Giants 3 9 0 3-2B, 1-HR, 3-BB, 6 K
My 3 runs and half my hits came in the 9th inning.

Game 2
Padres 3 10 0 4-2B, 2-3B, 3-BB, 4-K
Giants 0 5 0 no extra base hits, 1-BB, 0-K

Game 3
Padres 1 11 1 2-2B, 1-3B, 1-HR, 4-K
Giants 5 8 0 3-2B, 3-BB, 4-K

That's good variety outside of K's, so either pitch speed up a notch or drop foul frequency to 1 and you should add 2-3 a game.

I lowered cpu contact to 5. It feels like they are hitting everything. I am going to see if their offense gets weak. But it could also be my pitching staff.

I tried lowering timing but I couldn’t hit anything solid and kept popping up.

I would go with pitch speed then, that's why I went to 7 eventually. I have been getting plenty of K's with CPU on 6, but the Yankees have a lot of flame throwers I will try a couple of games with the Giants and see what I get. Cueto should be getting K numbers in the 7-8 range.

Re: BYU 14's "Old Guy" Quick Count Sliders for the Show 18

Started by Orioles franchise and started with Spring Training, because I haven't played since last year and it showed vs. the Twins.

Twins 4 AB-35 H-9 BB-2 K-4 2B-2 3B-0 Hr-1
O's 0 AB-26 H-0 BB-6 K-15 2B-0 3B-0 Hr-0

No hit .....My timing is off big time so far, but it was only my first game back. Bullpen looked okay. It was the Starter Gausman that gave up 4 runs, 3 of them coming off a 3-run shot by Sano....

Other than that fielding speed looked good and the Twins base running did as well. This is my first year using classic pitching and I must say I do like it, so I think I am going to stick with that.

I look forward to your modifiers this year.
