Lack of Home Runs

First, let me say that I've been playing The Show since David Ortiz was on the cover in '06 so I'm not new to the game and I've never had this problem.

With that said, I'm struggling to hit any home runs in my Reds franchise. Yes, I am only 3 games in but I've yet to hit any home runs (and only 3 doubles). However I played 4 games in another Reds franchise prior to my current franchise and had 1 home run through 4 games, so in 7 games total I've hit 1.

I'm playing on AS, with directional hitting....I never use square to hit, just X and occasionally O.

My current USER hitting sliders look like this.

CON- 5
POW- 5
TIM- 5
FF- 3
SH-4

FWIW, the CPU pitching looks like this...

CON -6
CONSIST -4
SF -5

I guess the obvious answer would be to bump up POW to 6. But I've never had to go above default on any user hitting slider.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks.

*Are you getting fairly deep into counts? I have zero problems hitting for power on Josh's AS set, but close to all of them I either had a favorable hitters count, or I was sitting dead red, as I do in the early stages of the at bat. It keeps me from swinging too early too often, but the AI picks up on that, and they start piping 1st pitch fastballs until you hit enough of them to make them stop.

*I'd suggest FF back to 5, and....yeah. maybe give Josh's set a run? It's pretty close to what you stated you were using.

*Or keep on going with what your doing. I believe you said 4 games in one and 4 in another? Yet to just forget hitting a home run and play 20 more games. That's probably what will work lol.

Good luck man, hope some of this does the trick.

Thanks man. These are based off Josh's set but I turned FF down to help with the CPU getting strikeouts. On 5, I was fouling off way too many pitches and always found myself in deep counts and like I said, not striking out enough.
