Re: MLB The Show 23 - The Little Things

Was getting shutout by Senga (CAP) and the Mets in franchise going into the 9th, as the Marlins, and instead of the game transitioning right to the top of the 9th and having to just see what happens, it showed Senga in the dugout getting up off the bench, while Boog said a sentence or two along the lines of ‘and it looks like he’s coming back out for the 9th!’.

They really nailed it this year with the extra bits of player interaction and emotion, and extra presentation touches you’d see in a real game broadcast. Games feel much more immersive and alive than in past years.

The splits what is that? Unless you mean he did a split?

I'm from the UK and we say 'the splits' here.

I’ve always heard it as “the splits” as well

This was a new animation to me at least. Umpire with the uppercut punchout

Re: MLB The Show 23 - The Little Things

The variety of hits and the ability to finally get to an inside pitch easier is great.

Yeah, seeing the first baseman stretching way out almost in full splits mode was awesome to see. That should have been in the game a long time ago.

The fielders taking bad routes to the ball and at times reading it wrong off the bat is a great addition. That opens up more offense and excitement when a hit gets through the gap and especially all the way to the wall.
