Re: Rule 5 draft
You probably had a full 40-man roster, so you didn't have a spot to add any picks to your roster essentially forfeiting your pick.
I wish the game would store each player's original signing year so that the Rule-5 draft would work correctly in the first few years of franchise. Currently they don't track that so every player not on the 40-man is ruled eligible for the first few years. I think after year 5 it works betterChicago Cubs

Re: Rule 5 draft
This is right. As long as your 40 man is not full you should be able to have as many picks as needed until your 40 man is full. The rule 5 is also a lot better this year. In years past their would be a ton of good veteran relievers and players in general available. This year the CPU seems a lot smarter about who they protect. You probably had a full 40-man roster, so you didn't have a spot to add any picks to your roster essentially forfeiting your pick.

Re: Rule 5 draft
I wrote a blog about the Rule 5 years ago before it finally got added to The Show. I believe it was added the year after I wrote this. I like to pretend I had a hand in it being added (although I'm sure I didn't.) OS did run this one when I wrote it. I might help explain the Rule 5 to you if you need it.
