Stadium Accuracy/Feedback Thread For MLB The Show 24

    Hey, all.

Now that we're about halfway through the 2023 MLB season, it's as good a time as any to start compiling and sharing stadium details that need to be added, removed, and/or altered for MLB The Show 24.

As always, let's try to keep our posts as organized and as easy-to-follow as possible, and share photos/screenshots when applicable. For reference, here's a similar thread from a few years ago.
MLB: San Francisco Giants, Oakland Athletics (Sell The Damn Team, Fisher!)
    NFL: San Francisco 49ers
    NHL: San Jose Sharks
    MLS: San Jose Earthquakes
    EPL: Brentford FC

Re: Stadium Accuracy/Feedback Thread For MLB The Show 24

I'm sure they're already working on Comerica Park, as they were kind working blind when they made the changes for launch. And they've got to know it's pretty bad. Not only are the bushes hilariously huge, the wall height (above the yellow line) isn't close to being right. The wall behind the Bullpen should also be orange, but given that this is part of a Little Caesar's ad, I can understand that not being added (though I'd still wish for it).

The other big thing, for me, is the wall colors at Progressive Field and T-Mobile Park. They are both WAY too light. The out of town scoreboard over the bullpen at T-Mobile also doesn't look right, but that's a more minor gripe.

Also at T-Mobile Park, the logo behind home plate looks like a mat on the grass and not painted on. It's too glossy.

      Oakland Coliseum

      1. For the longest time, something has seemed "off" about the way that the Diamond Level seats behind home plate are represented in-game. Something about the slope of the seats and the placement of the tunnels just doesn't match-up with real-life.

      Spoiler

      Spoiler

      2. There are two pitch clocks installed in the backstop, one near each on-deck circle.

      Spoiler

      3. Both dugouts have updated branding/designs on the interior walls. The home dugout has Gilead branding and the visiting dugout has Fantatics branding.

      Spoiler

      4. The angles and layout of certain sections of the outfield wall are incorrect in-game. Specifically, the areas of each power alley have some extra nooks and cranneys that are not present in-game. Full credit to OS user NolanRyansSnowmonkey for originally pointing this out years ago. This video by A's pre and postgame host Brodie Brazil does a good job of showing off the correct outfield configuration. Relevant sections begin at 1:52 and 4:00.

      Spoiler

      5. There's a memorial graphic for Ray Fosse on the outfield fence in left-center field, next to the Rickey Henderson Field logo.

      Spoiler

      6. There's no Rickey Henderson Field logo on the right-center field fence.

      7. The bullpen seating areas and adjoining Field Box premium seating areas have slightly updated layouts.

      Spoiler

      8. The netting on both sides of the field now extend to the bullpens.

      Spoiler

      Spoiler

      9. There is visible Athletics branding on the Theater Boxes behind home plate.

      Spoiler

      10. Here's an updated view of the Terrace Tables seating area behind the third base line.

      Spoiler

      11. The drink rails near the left field foul pole now have "Oak Landing" branding.

      Spoiler

      12. The "Hero Deck" group seating area near the right field foul pole has red Budweiser branding.

      Spoiler

      13. Here's an updated look at the Lounge Seats behind the first base line.

      Spoiler

      14. There's a pitch clock between the two World Champions placards above home plate.

      Spoiler

      15. There's an extra HOF placard along the facing of the Plaza Level for Bill King. It's in-between the placards for Walter Haas (with the A's logo) and Dick Williams. The current order of the placards on that side are, moving towards home plate, Jackie Robinson's #42, Walter Haas' placard (A's Logo), Bill King's HOF placard, Dick Williams' HOF placard, and Tony La Russa's HOF placard.

      Spoiler

      26. The upper deck of the main bowl has been un-tarped and open for fans since 2017.

      Spoiler

      27. The light towers around the main bowl should be, for lack of a better term, thinner than they are in-game. Also, the four light towers around the main bowl have only three supporting poles each. Only the light towers behind Mt. Davis have four supporting poles.

That's really good stuff. That said, there's unfortunately close to a 0% chance they're going to do anything for the Coliseum given that the team is leaving.

They could just make it orange w/ Tigers branding though. I've actually tossed that out as an idea when I've sent in stadium feedback the last several years too. But as we can see, either feedback sent in thru their site doesn't get to the stadium folks or I'm just not persuasive enough.

Things don't look good for Oakland at this stage, but in spite of SB1 passing in Nevada, the Vegas movie is still far from a done deal.

Regardless, they're still set to play in Oakland for the 2024 season, and the Coliseum will almost certainly be kept in the game after the A's vacate it (whenever that is). SDS has done the same with other recently-vacated parks (Turner, Arlington, etc.).

Plus, there are some things about the in-game Coliseum that have just been eyesores for too long (the third deck tarps, the light towers, etc.).

              Oracle Park

              1. There's some corporate advertising (Blue Shield) behind the Dugout Club seats.

              Spoiler

              2. There are no batboys on stools near the on-deck circles.

              3. There are pitch clocks installed in the railing of each dugout.

              Spoiler

              Spoiler

              4. The Chevron ad in left field no longer obstructs any seating. The in-game ad that mimics this still has obstructions.

              Spoiler

              5. There should be fans in the right field "Knothole" areas.

              Spoiler

              6. There's a video board in the left field corner (above section 135) that's used for static advertising.

              Spoiler

              7. There are additional video boards at the top of sections 106 and 126 that are also used for static advertising.

              Spoiler

              Spoiler

              8. There are new advertisements in both bullpen areas. Also, Section 144, closest to the brick wall in right-center field, is branded as "The 415".

              Spoiler

              Spoiler

              9. On the brick wall in right-center field, there's a tribute to former Giants manager Roger Craig. It's intended to be on-display for only this season, but some figures (like broadcaster Mike Krukow) want it to be permanent.

              Spoiler

              10. There's a placard in right-center field commemorating Barry Bonds' 756th home run.

              Spoiler

              11. The K-Board in right field has a corporate sponsor. Also, each "K" is cream-colored on a green background, except every third "K", which is orange on a green background.

              Spoiler

              12. Seating in the "Arcade" sections in right field (145-152) are green benches with backs, not individual seats.

              Spoiler

              13. Here's an updated look at the Cloud Club area on the Club Level.

              Spoiler

              14. Will Clark's #22 was added to the Giants retired number display last season. The #22 placard still needs to be added in-game.

              Spoiler

              15. The small video board that juts out of the upper deck in left field no longer has a solar company sponsor. Now, it just has Giants branding.

              Spoiler

              16. All of the stadium's light towers, both around the main bowl and beside the video board, were retrofitted with LED lights prior to the 2017 season.

              Spoiler

              17. The Giants are using a new layout on their main video board this season. To be specific, they're actually using two in a way. During the day and evenings, they use an orange-heavy color scheme. At night, they switch to a black-heavy color scheme.

              Spoiler

              Spoiler

              18. These time-dependent color schemes also extend to the auxiliary scoreboards above each dugout and at the edges of the upper deck. They also shift from orange-heavy to black-heavy at night.

              Spoiler

              Spoiler

              Spoiler

              19. Underneath the main video board, there are also a pair of pitch clocks and a small, auxiliary video board used for closed captions of PA announcements and hosting the day's 50/50 Raffle total.

              Spoiler

              20. Above the main video board, the Giants have flags commemorating all eight of the franchise's championships, plus one commemorating the year in which the franchise was established (1883). San Francisco-era championships are in orange and New York-era championships are in black.

Would be cool if they could fix this:

Camden Yards scoreboard clock should be lit up, and the Orioles text above it should be fluorescent orange. The scoreboard has the lineups of both teams. Not the positions on one side.

The backstop should have rotating ads, not the Nike swoosh sign.

I know this was a new renovation, but hopefully they can remove the Oriole Park (The Sun) scoreboard sign in an upcoming patch.

There's always a chance that more updates have made it in since today's gameplay clips were recorded, but so far the only change I've noticed for either Bay Area ballpark is the pitch clocks embedded into the dugout railings at Oracle. And, I suppose, game information being displayed on the ribbon boards in Oakland, but that seems to apply to every ballpark this year.

I'm particularly disappointed that the upper deck situation at the Coliseum wasn't addressed. Having literally a third of one of the 30 Major League parks be a black/gray void without seats or rows is a colossal eyesore and one that shouldn't have made it this long without being addressed.

In one of the clips that Included T-Mobile, the outfield backdrop was still dark (none of the signs are lit up). Looks like it may be another year without playing night games at T-Mobile Park.

Hopefully better luck with Busch Stadium and the outfield backdrop.

On a positive note, the lighting/shadows in the clip with the Rogers Centre looked great.

The wall behind the bullpen at Comerica is orange this year finally. Couldn’t tell if it had the Little Caesars logos in the quick clip they showed though. As much as LC loves to advertise you’d think they’d love to be in this game.

I cant understand why they cant get the wall colors right in Seattle and Baltimore. The walls are so much more a darker green. Baltimore and Seattle are so far off I'm surprised they don't realize it.
