    Vintage/HOF managers in game

This is more of a wishlist for '24 or after...in addition to having current managers, couldn't we also get vintage or HOF managers...similar how we get many players legends/HOFs to choose from?

I feel this would be an added immersive experience. Plus maybe managers could have their own uniqueness about them. Ex: Sparky Anderson used to tweak his lineups ALOT during his Tigers era, which most likely affected how versatile the players had to be on those teams.

Or at least the ability to edit the names/likenesses of the managers/coaches that are in the game (similar to Madden or NBA2k).

    This would be so great.

They did add several decent CAP faces and would love to see them give this even more attention. With some of our choices now I can honestly say I’ve never seen a human that looks like that.

I’d love to be able to create managers and coaches ourselves, like we can create players.

I've been saying this for years too. I would absolutely love to be able to edit the manager pool just like we can edit players.

Why stop there? Put MLB Eras in the game!

As recently as MLBTS22, I did see "vintage" managers pop up in the pool. I actually hired Sparky Anderson in last year's game (and it had his likeness) to be the manager of my Orioles.

I cannot state whether or not that still occurs in '23; haven't really paid attention.

This is what Sony should have already done. Do this one simple trick Sony and be done with it.

You can coach in manage mode.

                  Re: Vintage/HOF managers in game

I would love to see this but I doubt they will do this.

SDS does not care much about user created rosters. They continue to refuse to bring Y2Y roster transfers since MLB20. They amount of time and effort that goes into creating these rosters is enormous and this deflates a lively community of people who love what custom rosters do for this game.

If you are not aware, please check out the roster lists for MLB The Show for the last four years. MLB20 has a phenomenal amount and high quality rosters and community that supports it. After 20 it goes right downhill.

I just don't think that SDS cares about user created rosters especially the classic roster sets that have been made.

This is just my opinion but more like a rant. Had to get it off my chest.

Agree somewhat. I don’t know the technical reason for Y2Y transfers, if there is one, but rosters are…..sort of important…..for immersion. Shouldn’t, for one, have to sit and edit the gosh awful faces they assign every year. Duplicates, triplicates of the same face with pox marks, etc. Long overdue to get this to next gen.
