The fact that they're still releasing on old gen AND it'll be free for GamePass subscribers really has me believing the improvements will be minimum. Especially for graphics. If there was vast improvement with this release, they'd be charging everyone for it and focus on the "new" consoles

Old gen, yes, but the game would likely be on Game Pass whether there's an overhaul or not.

The Game Pass deal is between MLB and Microsoft, so it has nothing to do with the amount of development resources being put in by Sony.

The game being on Gamepass has absolutely nothing to do with the lack of graphical upgrades...

There’s a dark side to this too. You cannot buy the game digitally for Xbox. For a Series S owner like myself, that means a minimum $11/month subscription is *required* to play it.

Perhaps this is new for 24 or it’s a pre-order only. You can’t buy 23 right now.

Can't speak for 23 but I know you could buy 22 digitally despite it being on game pass because I did. I also know 23 was available for purchase recently because it was on sale.
