It's not uncommon for them to do a launch day patch after the game goes gold to add additional polish to the game.

It's probably just the full game. Xbox had a 315mb placeholder before. Don't know if PS5 is the same way.

Nah, it's a 10Gb patch taking the version to 1.01

Full game was downloaded last week for PS5.

This. Even though it's before release, any patch at this point means the content went into it after discs started being duplicated. That's what we usually refer to as a day 1 patch, though I guess there's less of a distinction now with digital media being so much more common.

This is only speculation on my part but I'm still 100% positive I'm not looking for either to be in 24, and I'll go out on that limb and put my confidence at 99% neither will be in 25.

I’m doubting it, unless they already had one planned and then they add it to that. There’s channels all of the updates have to go through and I’d say it’s too short of notice. Of course I could be wrong.
