I am in no way trying to start a war here, just looking for opinions or knowledge. I've bought MLB The Show every year for at least 15 years on Playstation. Last year I added an Xbox Series X to my collection to sit by my PS5. Thinking about just waiting for gamepass this year, but is there any difference in graphics or the way the game runs for those of you that have played on both consoles? Notice any difference at all?

Re: Xbox vs Playstation MLBTS
21 was the last version I played on both systems. I'm a longtime XBox guy who had Playstation just for The Show. I felt good enough about the XBox version to go ahead and sell my PS5. I'm biased, but I felt like 21 played and looked better on XBox. I can't imagine that 23 on PS5 performs any better than it does on my Series X. In so much, when I read complaints about the PS5 version not seeming to be taking advantage of the tech, I don't see that on XBox. It really seems "next-gen" graphically to me. Plenty of moments when it feels "XBox Series X Enhanced" as well as any other so-called 4K game.

Re: Xbox vs Playstation MLBTS
Been a playstation guy my entire life and I'm slowly beginning to get to a point where my PS5 just collects dust. I only really play sports games now and the occasional 1st person shooter as I've gotten older. Starting to think my PS5 is no longer needed as the exclusives are rare that I ever play them.
Thinking I might go xbox this year. Now to decide if I go and pay the $40 to have it early or wait for gamepassSacramento Kings San Diego Padres Dallas Cowboys Liverpool FC

Re: Xbox vs Playstation MLBTS
I know this because I have had both the PS5 and XSX versions for the last few seasons.
Xbox does perform better. The input lag is less. The timing is quicker. This is important for online play. When I am on PS5 I turn crossplay off because I don't want to play xbox users with that advantage.
With that being said, as a franchise guy I still prefer the PS5 version because of the haptic feedback of the controller. Nothing feels as good as ripping that perfect/perfect with the haptics.Comment

Re: Xbox vs Playstation MLBTS
Before PS5 got VRR support, the Show played noticeably better to me on Xbox. But now that PS5 has it, the game runs pretty much the same on both consoles. I’d say it runs a tad better on PS5, as during short cutscenes in between play the frame rate is more consistent on PS5 than Xbox.Comment

Exactly the same. Only benefits to Xbox are Dolby atlas and Dolby vision gaming. I prefer the dual sense for MLB. That’s just me.Comment

Re: Xbox vs Playstation MLBTS
I own both systems and play on a Sony X95 with all the bells and whistles possible. My recommendation to people who ask these type of questions is always the same. Play on the system you enjoy playing the most and where the majority of your friends are. Whatever differences people claim to see are so minor it's not worth venturing onto a system you may not want to be on. If you're already a gamepass subscriber than the decision is an easy one from my point of view. Play on Xbox for no additional out of pocket cost.Comment

Re: Xbox vs Playstation MLBTS
I have always been a PS guy (Due to better exclusives) but that is irrelevant here. To answer your question if you want to save a few dollars go with it on Xbox as its part of gamepass.Mets Baseball, All Day Every Day

Re: Xbox vs Playstation MLBTS
I switched to an xBox simply because I could get an Series X and couldn't get my hands on a PS5. it has played fine for me on it.
With that said, I do plan on getting a PS5 this year(soon). Simply because you can stream to youtube from a PS5, where you can't on an xBox. I want to record my games. I used to do that and enjoyed going back and rewatching them later.
So, I will soon have MLBTS24 on PS5, xBox, and switch.Comment
