RTTS Difficulty - Still Scaling Like Usual?

    Hi All,

Just wondering if everyone's experience with RTTS is the same as years past where the difficulty scales?

    So:
AA = -1 from your set difficulty
    AAA = your set difficulty
MLB = +1 from your set difficulty

I just moved up to HoF this year as All-Star was way too easy in AAA, but every since getting called up I feel like I'm striking out as often as I'm touching the ball and I believe pitch speeds are higher but I've also been playing against pitchers who just have faster pitch speeds than AAA pitchers so I want to make sure I'm not the only one experiencing this.

I moved back down to all-star and I feel like the pitch speeds are back to what I was seeing in AAA, but I also don't want to cheat my experience if this isn't the case.

    What are you all seeing/feeling?

I never knew of there being scaling but I would think that because most MiLB & drafted players don't have or acquire outlier the pitches would be slower

There was confirmed scaling years ago, wondering if it's been updated at all. Sure feel like it's still there.

I don't know if scaling is still a thing or not. Always thought it was a bit dumb. You move up a level where not only are the players better but now you have a higher difficulty. I just started using dynamic difficulty and then turn difficulty sensitivity to Zero once it's locked in at the level I want.

Not sure if there is a difference, to be honest.

Let's just say I got to the MLB in my first year, all on default Vet. I hit .423 in AA, .367 in AAA and played 49 games at the MLB level hitting .303 with 17 hr and 48 rbi.

Only real difference was the skill increase for the pitchers, which is to be expected. If that's the scale up, then so be it.

At age 19 playing third base for the Angel's at a 76 ovr, I plan to switch to dynamic hitting with only a tick up of fastball speed slider wise. I find it too slow even with a 100mph fastball to track and smash.

            Is this genuinely a thing?

Feel like it might be, ive often raked in AA (my default diff is HOF), slowed down but still done ok in AAA, then really struggled in the bigs, hardly time anything, pitches seem visibly harder, is this actually because unbeknown to me im now playing on Legend in the bigs?

So if true, when i reach the bigs, i should put the diff down to All Star, which would then scale to HOF, which is the level i want to be playing at?

Why do they make it so convoluted, seems odd, i want to play on HOF, just let that be the case!

Are we certain this is what really happens in RTTS?

Not at my console right now, but you can test using Player Lock.

Here's my thread from 2015(!) that has more information: https://forums.operationsports.com/f...confusion.html

Edit: Also, if you want to completely get rid of it, you get your Dynamic Difficulty to the intended level and change the sensitivity slider to zero. This difficulty scaling doesn't happen on Dynamic.

                Great reply thanks.

Assuming this isnt changed then, when i get to the bigs, to play on HOF, i need to set the diff to All Star.

                Odd, but eh.

                Thanks.

I use timing hitting on RTTS which makes the mode much more difficult already. I just went 2 for 20 in a series I played for example lol. So I'm in AAA now and I always hit on Allstar level. So is this really a thing? What difficulty do I need to set it for in AAA to hit on Allstar? Once in MLB this is saying I should set to Veteran correct? I vaguely remember this years ago, but honestly this is the first year I am going to stick with a RTTS career for the long haul.

Edit: I just re read it and see dynamic difficulty, if I just get that to Allstar and zero the slider it will stick. I'll just do that then.
