CPU lack of aggression at the plateI'm seeing far too many called strike threes when I'm pitching. Is there a difficulty level, or something I can do with sliders to get the CPU to swing more?

Re: CPU lack of aggression at the plate

The pitching in the series has always been too easy but this year on GOAT it is finally pretty challenging.

Re: CPU lack of aggression at the plate

I have it on hall of fame now, guess I'll have to bump it up and see if that helps. Thanks!

Re: CPU lack of aggression at the plate

I had a similar thought: I have so many battles where I just can't get the opponent out because they swing at and foul off everything.

I wish I could see that lack of aggression some time.Comment

Re: CPU lack of aggression at the plate

I see this complaint often but I have not had this problem in years. I have the CPU fouls I think at 3 or 4 even and contact and timing I think at 5. To avoid to many fouls, you must pitch the corners and even off the corners in the right counts. Of course, keeping in mind sometimes you will have high pitch counts to a batter but it evens out during the game.

I use classic though and HOF pitching. Was just getting hammered on the higher levels this year.Comment

Re: CPU lack of aggression at the plate

Are you attacking the blue zones? I pitch on meter in hall of fame mode or veteran or wherever the dynamic setting takes me.

I see the same thing though because I'm getting 13-14 strikeouts per game.

I may jack the sliders up for computer just to see what happens.Comment

There are just so many factors. Difficulty level, pitching type (classic, meter etc), slider settings, hot streaks, cold streaks, ebbs and flows of the season.I see this complaint often but I have not had this problem in years. It's never an easy answer. I am on classic pitching, HOF, with cpu contact way up at 8, and its been tough at time to get the CPU out. But then other times, its not that hard. Just depends on the game.JUUUUUUUST A BIT OUTSIDEComment

Re: CPU lack of aggression at the plate

This the thing, it’s so hard to figure out what exactly is balanced difficulty for me when there’s so many factors. I chalk it up to basically wanting to feel like every hitter is a threat, I want to feel like I need to be careful at all times or I’ll be punished. Otherwise the game gets boring. Been playing on GOAT with default sliders and I feel like it’s been a pretty good experience. I feel like bad pitches are punished which is what I want. And playing on metered it’s generally my mistake with bad pitches. So it’s been fun so far. There are just so many factors. Difficulty level, pitching type (classic, meter etc), slider settings, hot streaks, cold streaks, ebbs and flows of the season.
