Re: Pre-Order Bonuses

SCEA (not the devs, playstation's American branch) usually doesn't do bundles unless it's for a multi-million seller, but SCEE bundles almost everything

heck, the main reasons I bought a ps3 was because 2k sucked at making baseball games and MVP was cancelled due to 2k buying the rights.

the show was the best baseball game on the market, it made me buy a ps3, should help persuade baseball fans to do the same with the ps4
Look at the sales numbers, even if you combine 2K and the Show they are not big sellers each year. Far behind games like Fifa and Madden.

The console makers would be better off making bundles for those games even if they aren't excusives to drive unit sales. But the point of a bundle is to move units and at this point Sony had no reason to offer any type of discount on the PS4, none.

There is a reason Microsoft offered a bundle with a free copy of Titanfall and there is a reason why we have yet to see an official PS4 bundle post launch. I believe the only bundle Sony offered was the Killzone one in the UK or Europe only. None in that states as of yet. They may do one for whatever big exclusive comes next, but they don't have a reason to. Infamous as a standalone game boosted console sales on its own.

Decided to go with Gamestop. The $20 worth of in game currency is well worth it to me.

I'm torn on what to do. I want to go digital for the convenience and I could squeeze in a few innings before work (if I wake up during the night and start the download) but the frugal part of doesn't want to pass up free money.

I'm right there with you, but, personally, I'd sacrifice the short time in the AM I could play before work for the in game money. Seems more valuable despite wanting to play as soon as possible.

Re: Pre-Order Bonuses

What's the in game currency used for?

I'm leaning towards just going digital.

That's what I did. I can't remember the last game I bought at gamestop, but for $20 I'm doing it.
