Pretty harsh, first year in the new generation and a lot of complaints. Maybe next year they will have all your improvements but give them a pass this year.

Perhaps because I only see Wrigley field when the Cardinals play them, but I don't see anything that is jumping out and screaming what is wrong with it, post some pictures if you could on the things that are wrong. however, saying that the stadium looks like a port the only thing I can say about that is, it looks like Wrigley field, what difference are you wanting to see? To me every stadium is a exact replica of each real stadium minus new addition to the stadiums that were done over the off season or branding advertisements, so really what else can SCEA do to the stadiums? this saying gets thrown around a bit around here about the game but it does seem to fit in this case about the stadiums "you can't reinvent the wheel"

Any talk of any stadium looking like a port is craziness. It has already been stated multiple times that all stadiums were rebuilt from the ground up for PS4.

People just throw the word port around to justify that they are right and Devs are wrong. Probably helps those who say it sleep better at night I guess.

Re: New Wrigley field screenshot!

Gameplay trumps minor stadium details any day in my opinion.

Some people need to re-evaluate their priorities.

Are you calling them liars?

FWIW, the difference between PS3 and PS4 Wrigley is night and day, as anyone who has watched the IGN livestream video in 1080 will tell you.

Oh boy. I wasn't attacking the developers, and I was just stating my opinion. I do certainly enjoy your responses. I am a Cubs fan, and I am just wanting Wrigley to be as accurate as possible. If it was ported, they built it from scratch without any of the improvements they could have made.

Here is what I posted three years ago (the links to the photos may be expired by this point), and I realize they implemented the division flags:

CUBS-WRIGLEY FIELD

While Wrigley was an improvement over 09, there are still a great amount of issues with the Wrigley in '10.

*1)Center Field:
First, the famous scoreboard of Wrigley. The division flags of each division of the national league are not included:

http://www.flickr.com/photos/symbiosis/4611547221/
http://www.flickr.com/photos/the_mel...37155/sizes/l/

Also, The entire scoreboard needs to be closer to the batter's eye, as in squashed down. It still looks weird, as does the entire bleacher area. Also, it would be awesome if there was the possibility of having more fans stand along the stair ways on t****zoid bleacher section (which needs to be squashed down with the scoreboard a tad):

http://www.flickr.com/photos/cjrphot...30101/sizes/l/

Also the numbers used for outs, balls, strikes, etc are not like that at all in real life. I have a picture with how it is in mlb '10 and real life. Also notice how the electronic board below the scoreboard isn't an led board, all it does is project the player at-bat, and his numbers. You will also notice how the puke green in mlb '10 does not correctly represent the dark ivy colored green found throughout the real Wrigley:

http://img35.imageshack.us/i/mlb10theshowa.png/
http://www.flickr.com/photos/chrisre...09096/sizes/l/

Another problem with the center field area is the area in mlb '10 with the concesion stand textures (or what ever it is) right above the batter's eye. That entire area needs to be completely squashed down. The walk way right in front of that "random textured area" shouldn't even be seen, as there should be an ivy green (or black) screen covering the walk way completely. Also notice how there are actual bush shrubbery in front of the batter's eye, unlike in mlb '10 how it is just a flat pale green grass texture.

http://img35.imageshack.us/i/mlb10theshowa.png/
http://www.flickr.com/photos/asmythi...13139/sizes/l/

*2) Bleachers:
Right Field:
First and most important, there NEEDS to be bleachers in the outfield stands, NOT seats. I realize there may be coding problems, but it would be that much more realistic with bleachers in the outfield (with exception to the far right section in right field with seats. Honestly, look at the difference between the real life photo and the game photo of the right field section:

http://img35.imageshack.us/i/mlb10theshowa.png/
http://www.flickr.com/photos/jcio/3973659930/sizes/l/

What is with the wacked out fence behind the "seats" in mlb '10? Where are the light posts that should be behind the seats on the walk way? Also notice how the bricks right above the ivy are NOT seen in the far right right field section that has actual seats instead of bleachers. In the game, it has bricks on top of the ivy in that section.
What I think is problem with the bleacher section is that in the game the model created doesn't over hang over the street, it stops AT the fence which is right behind the right field bleachers, while it should overhang:

http://www.flickr.com/photos/symbiosis/4611547221/

Also, the bleachers appear to be too tall in mlb '10. There doesn't appear to be as many rows, and slant facing the field appears to be at an angle of 45 degrees, while in real Wrigley, the right field bleachers are more squashed down, and appear closer to a 30 degree plane towards the field:

http://www.flickr.com/photos/4037532...62599/sizes/l/

Another view of the right field bleachers:

http://www.flickr.com/photos/joelieske/3935089981/
http://www.flickr.com/photos/4037532...62599/sizes/l/

Another view of the walk way behind the right field bleachers:

http://www.flickr.com/photos/notmargaret/4521777293/

Left Field:
Here is a great view of behind the bleachers in left. Notice how in the game, there doesn't really appear to be any walk way behind the left field bleachers, including that huge non existing fence behind them. In real life it appears as:

http://www.flickr.com/photos/lizjury...63842/sizes/l/

compared to

http://img696.imageshack.us/i/mlb10theshow1.png/

Again, also notice the the light stands behind the bleachers. Also notice how in stead of that giant fence, there is a little walk way behind the bleachers, and how it is a little below the actual top of the bleachers, and also notice how there are rails, NOT a giant fence.

A general photo of the left field bleachers in the real Wrigley:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/gelroda...86867/sizes/l/

*3) Misc. Issues:
The color of the grass in general looks way to pale, as the green is much more lush in real life. Also please tone down the size of the baskets, and it seems the height of the ivy colored walls still needs to be increased. Instead of using a static, flat ivy texture, it would be awesome if you gave the wall some depth, or even have it flutter in the wind a tad. I also hate how in mlb '10, the ball physics are the same with the ivy covered wall compared to regular padded walls. In real life, the ball should just die and fall right to the fielder's feet, as the ball has to go through all the leaves and vines. It would be incredible if some leaves would break off when a ball hits the wall.

The dugouts could have been 100% authentic year with the advertising of state farm. Look at the real Wrigley dugouts:

http://www.flickr.com/photos/oblik/3465135178/sizes/l/
http://www.flickr.com/photos/mattklitzke/4277786759/
http://www.flickr.com/photos/mattklitzke/4278534950/

Also the blue tarp should be on the first base side. Please make the advertisements on the outfield doors the same logo. I would be find if it just had a WHITE, not colored- cubs.com, on each door, or a similar logo to under armor, possibly even which the cubs logo in the game now, but smaller, with cubs.com right below it as sub text:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/4411045...58050/sizes/l/

For the foul poles, don't forget the retired number flags on each foul pole of left and right field. Also the inter fencing of each foul pole should be the ivy green color, NOT yellow like it is in mlb '10. The only yellow part is the actual pole, not the fence part (the part that actually extends out into play).
http://www.flickr.com/photos/klong35...01850/sizes/l/
http://www.flickr.com/photos/thewest...21964/sizes/l/
http://www.flickr.com/photos/webdoyenne/485670905/

That's all I'm going to rant about tonight. Sorry for the long rambling... I really hope this helps your team Russ, but some major work needs to be done on Wrigley (yes, I'm bias). Hopefully these fixes will make it into mlb '11, and hopefully more Cubs' fans will contribute!

Who says minor details are top of someone's priorities? Should mlb the show fans only talk about gameplay?

When the stadiums were rebuilt from scratch it is a little puzzling that some old stadium inaccuracies are still present. I like to study the stadiums every year and I'm definitely going to be going over them all with a fine tooth comb when ps4 version comes out.

That is a very detailed list, and backs up your statements (notice the word choice, as opposed to "complaints"). You aren't complaining, you are raising your thoughts and pointing out things that can be improved.

You can't say anything around here without being attacked. I believe the common term to describe the behavior on here is "circle jerk".
