Franchise Mode For Dummies?

I searched the forums for something like this and couldn't find anything. I am not new to The Show but I am planning to do my first Franchise Mode. I know Franchise Mode in The Show is much more in-depth than other titles. I was wondering if anyone makes a beginner's guide to help people like me not lay an egg. ;-)

what does that even mean? i started a franchise and selected the braves. this is my first year on the show (switched from xbox just for this game)
