Re: MLB 14 The Show Franchise Progress
Just beat the dbacks on a walk off by rizzo. I was down 3-1 in the 8th when bonofacio had. An RBI single to trim it to a run leadthen strop came in and made things interesting setting runners on 2nd and 3rd one out,
I managed to get a pop up then ground out to wiggle my way out. Castro draws a lead off walk allowed by Addison reed then on a 3-1 pitch rizzo knocks out to right for the cubs first walk off of the season and rizzos 5th home run. Cubs now sit at 10-10 and will wrap a 4 game series with samardzja vs arroyo cubs. |

Re: MLB 14 The Show Franchise Progress
Defeated Milwaukee 9-2 finally got some offense going, rizzo hit his 6th homer and had 3 RBI, Castro had a couple hits as did lake who had an RBI doule and two steals, Wellington Castillo also had 3 rbi. Edwin Jackson threw a complete game 2 runs 6 hits 8 SO and 3 bb. I Am 11-11 3.5 out of first behind the brewers who have the best offense in the league so that made Jackson's performance even better he's got 4 wins in April

Re: MLB 14 The Show Franchise Progress
These are our set rosters after our trades. The Minnesota Twins are at 4-1 after losing to a John Jaso 3 run homer,in the 8th, off the foul pole , all with 2 outs. Lost 4-2 :P. I used Bryce Harper in center last game and was efficient. So I may look to deal Jorge Soler because the plethora of OFs.

Re: MLB 14 The Show Franchise Progress
Got the first 10 games of the season in with the Cubs (thank you Quick Counts) and we are...0-10. Some seriously close games but we are terrible. I'm playing with dynamic difficulty and am hitting the ball seemingly well but fly out with runners on all of the time. Pitching well also but just can't seal the deal. Hasn't helped two series against the Pirates and one against the Cards. Definitely rebuilding mode.

Re: MLB 14 The Show Franchise Progress
I am now above .500 for the first sitting at 12-11 following a 3-0 victory over the first place brewers. Junior lake went 4-4 with 2 runs scored, Castro chipped in an RBI double and rizzo had an RBI triple and RBI single. Hammel got his first win as a cub tossing 7 shut out innings, 4 hits, 2BB,
8 SO. Going for the sweep with Wood (2-2, 2.52) against Willy Peralta (1-0, 3.22) |

Re: MLB 14 The Show Franchise Progress
Spoiler
We finally came back down earth. After getting 40 wins in 2 months, we posted a 13-14 record in June. We still have a very good lead on the division but Detroit is trying to comeback. Not much has changed on the offensive side. Moose has his AVG up to .300 now and Gordon is at .293. Aoki still above .300. Billy Butler is only hitting .243 but he leads the team in RBIs and is 2nd in homers so not much to complain about. Lorenzo Cain continues to be the bum that he is. Jarrod Dyson now has more hits in 40 less at bats, and has taken over the starting spot. Pitching was up and down. Jason Vargas had his ERA down to 2.70 at one point but after his last 2 starts its up to 3.40. Danny Duffy is no longer getting the run support he was so his 5.38 ERA is resulting in losses now. Shields had an okay month. Won 3 games and got his ERA back under 3. Ventura continues to be the real ace going 4-0 and giving up just 5 runs in the month. He is now 10-1 with a 2.03 ERA and is the leading candidate for rookie of the year. I forgot to scout until the last week of May so i didnt do as well as i could in the draft. I got an 18 year old 3B named Mike Jacobson. A clutch contact hitter. His power is below AVG. Can expect 10-15 HR a year. Projected to be reach the majors in 2018 . Could be up sooner if Butler leaves the team. He has B potential. I also got an 18 year lefty pitcher named Darrell Cavazos. He is pojected to reach the majors in 2020. He is has B potential.
