Random Weather
Hey guys I just started a franchise and noticed that every time I start a game I get to choose to weather. I don't like this feature because I like random weather. Any way to turn random weather on? I feel I must have missed something. Thanks.BOSTON BRUINS

Re: Random Weather
You didn't miss anything, but the weather won't always be the same when you hit that select screen. That's how it's randomized. Think of that option as just being a manual override to the automatic choice. -
Re: Random Weather
Oooo ok cool. I actually love that feature then, pretty cool. Thanks!

Re: Random Weather
Just going to piggyback this thread.
Question, 162/6=27 , not taking into account any anomalies, if a die roll produces 27 days of rain, does that sound too high or too low?
I have one die (dice).
1 ~ Clear Skies.
2&3 ~ Partly Cloudy.
4&5 ~ Overcast.
6 ~ Rain.
27 days of clear skies.
(81 days of clear skies/partly cloudy.)
54 days of partly cloudy..
(108 days of partly cloudy/overcast.)
54 days of overcast.
(81 days of overcast/rain.)
27 days of rain.
This would, without anomalies, be roughly 12-14 days of rain @CitiField.Last edited by Ghost Of The Year; 03-30-2025, 11:24 AM.Izit Spring Training yet?Comment

Re: Random Weather
It used to give random broadcast/weather each time you went into a franchise game.
However, after the second to last title update, it somehow messed this up, as the broadcast/weather settings are always default to the same settings when going into a franchise game (you can still change them manually).
This is hopefully a bug that they will fix in the next update.Comment

Re: Random Weather
Holy cow, I had to do a double take at the original thread start date. I saw it was something I posted in and didn't realize it was from that long ago. And just after I dove the search engine for something back in '14 tooJust going to piggyback this thread.

Yeah, I think I found pretty much the oldest relevant thread not in the Last Gen forumsHoly cow, I had to do a double take at the original thread start date. And I had been wanting do something along these lines even before the way it currently is, bug or not. But I want it weighted toward cloudy and overcast. I actually don't like it completely random split even between all four scenarios.Izit Spring Training yet?Comment

This gives you the chance of rain and cloud cover for a city on a given day. Then I fire up the rng and determine the weather. I honestly might keep doing this even if they fix the bug. Example: Baltimore on May 28 there’s a 35% of rain so if I get 1-35 it rains. 48% chance of overcast so 35-48 is cloudy. 48-100 is partly cloudy or sunny.Comment

Re: Random Weather
Just change the weather. I wish they would fix the temperature. Playing games in Atlanta in mid April and the announcers are talking about it being a cold night.Comment

Average lows in April Atlanta - 51°
That's just average. Can be colder, can be warmer.Izit Spring Training yet?Comment

Re: Random Weather
I will look at it from time to time but I'm not overly concerned with what it depicts the temp at. However, I probably would pay more attention to it before a game if we could select a temp. Which we probably should be allowed. The problem with the cold is, it's like water and causes shrinkage.
