Re: Stadium Lighting

Hello guys! I don't know if it had been mentioned earlier, but shadows of players at night seem to be wrong.

Even though there are usually 4+ light sources, there are only 2 shadows of players regardless of where they stand on the field. Shadows of players always point toward left and right field, therefore it seems, that the only light sources that are making players cast shadows are the lights behind 1B and 3B.

However shadows daytime are dynamic and they look great!

Note: What if light sources in left and right field are not lighting at all (they are just cosmetic effects), and all of the real light is coming from light sources behind 1B and 3B. What if this is the cause of some stadiums having a very dark outfield?

I do not like that this thread on the 2nd page.
I feel this is a pretty big issue and should not be forgotten

Yep. Went to the Show Nation to vote it up, but didn't see a lot there other than people complaining about black textures at Marlins park.

I'm really hoping something gets done, especially at PNC and Busch.

Re: Stadium Lighting

A few things with Busch Stadium...... Agreed, the lighting in the outfield is a little too dark. The 3rd deck behind home plate.... the white strip ( above the pressbox needs to be red).... and the pillars in left and right are different ... the need to be the same. And lastly... I was a little disappointed that Ballpark village was not added.

Re: Stadium Lighting

I added some of your guys' recent input into the OP- please keep the critique coming; the devs need to know that this is a serious issue that warrants a fix.

Right now, Busch, Petco, PNC, and a few other stadiums are unplayable at night due to the lighting. I can't even play a franchise with my Padres due to the lighting...

Re: Stadium Lighting

Played in a couple more ballparks as of last night. I think Yankee Stadium looks pretty good.

Played a night game in Coors Field and thought the Center Field stands, the right field seats (upper and lower deck) and centerfield were a bit dark.

Also, out of curiosity, I played a game in Target Field and never saw the St.Paul and Minneapolis twins shake hands (the animation shown in the Stadium video) nor did I see the animation where the 'T' and 'S' in Twins blackout so the word "WIN" is lit up.

Figured this would have happened when I won the game with the Twins, but it never occurred.

Re: Stadium Lighting

PNC is way off at night games. The jumbo should pop and it's no where close to that. Also, the city should be lit up big time. We already know abou the dark crowds through-out.
Thanks,
Blitz
