Does the difficulty you play on yield more points, as it does in the NBA 2k series? I haven't played The Show in quite some time.

Yeah the thought of that really bothered me and I was only 12 games in so I restarted and made a new guy.

I did WAY better this time and was able to get him an A potential and drafted by the Giants in the first round. I'm happy I did.

It's quite simple, it's called point management, if you need to have your guy at 93 contact, and 95 power, you are just waisting points, Speed should be the only thing kept over 90 OVR, hitting and power can stay around the 75-80 range, along with defence and and arm attributes. Don't over spend your points, and bank points for later in your career, so when you start to have attributes fall off, you have a reserve to maintain what your player is.

Set goals on where you think each attribute should end up, I usually mirror someone in that position, work to get your OVR as close to that guy by the time you are 25, than start banking points to maintain your player.

Don't get out smarted by your own greediness.

My potential is an A and my contact is at 60. Out of curiosity I checked out how much the final increase from 98 to 99 cost and i was just shy of 600 points.I think the skills are all different. I think I was raising Plate Vision last night (also currently in the 60's) and it seemed to be much cheaper than contact was.

Any word on how many points it costs to raise power ratings? I'm a C potential and my power rating is around 60-62 and it costs over a 1200 points to move up more.

Yeah it probably is different for each skill which makes sense. I think my contact is at 60 too, I used some stubs to increase speed and plate vision. The rest I want to grow gradually in a realistic fashion
