Anyone else not able to spend stubs?

I pre ordered from gamestop, input my code off the receipt and try to "Spend Stubs" but every time i get an error. Every time it is a different error.
Sometimes it says, "cannot connect to the network" or "There is no FLS server to connect to", or "your connection has been lost". Those are just the ones I can think of. I've got at least 6 different error messages.

Anyone else having this problem when trying to spend stubs?
My connection is fine, as i have no problem running any other device, playing other games online etc etc.
Even downloaded the OS Rosters without a hiccup.
What gives?

Go to the playstation store in order to redeem your code for the stubs Gamestop included with the game. Once in the game, hit the touch pad in order to access the spending options for your stubs.

Make sure you input the code in the PS store, not in the game. Also make sure you go to "buy/redeem stubs" to redeem the 30,000 before trying to spend them.
