Vision and Discipline are always my highest offensive stats. I like to be patient and see lots of pitches per plate appearance.

Then I'm going to say that it's user error. I've never had issues drawing walks once I start putting points into vis and disc. Never. Through ever version of the show, I've always been able to draw walks. Patience is the key. Meaning, not swinging at every pitch that looks like a strike, taking that 3-1 fastball that's on the corner, etc. it's really not that hard to draw walks.

Nah that's not it, I'm hitting for high average, power, and my # of strikeouts(which I usually incur from laying off the borderline pitch) are lower or on par with the amount of walks I'm working.

Pitchers are just pumping the strikezone way too much. Maybe moving up to Hall of Fame or Legend might make a difference?

Not sure that discipline affects the CPU pitcher throwing balls.

The description for it says it just affects you being able to check swing.

In fact (and someone can correct me if I am wrong, please), the only things that affects a CPU pitcher throwing balls are the pitcher ratings and the sliders?

Brian SCEA has talked about how BB's are coded in the past.

I'm not positive on Discipline specifically, but he has mentioned how the AI does look at power.

That would make sense...a pitcher pitching around a power hitter.

It does makes sense. I'm a second baseman, who is going to pitch around me :-).
