Any pitching tips for a noob ?

I love playing baseball games and I buy them every once in a while but this year I'm pumped I have it on PS4, I'm horrible at pitching and I could use some help, I can never land the pit where I want it to go.

If you are having a hard time with Pulse, try Meter or Classic.

Long time 2k player here. I really miss the pitching in that game after playing the show on ps4. To partially compensate I am using pure analog but definitely not the same.

Re: Any pitching tips for a noob ?

I've used meter for years and I hardly ever get a pitch to land right where I wanted it unless the pitcher has his confidence at about 90%. I've had a pitcher come in with med-high confidence and high confidence on a certain pitch and it seems to be all over the place. Even when I stop in the green and hit the sweet spot on the meter. I have just tried to pay attention to where that pitch misses. If its missing low then I aim a bit higher.

Pure Analog is my favorite pitching style. As far as ball placement & pitch type goes, mix it up. That doesn't mean throw a different pitch in a different location every time. Sometimes I'll throw three fastballs in the same spot because it's unexpected & I freeze the CPU a lot doing that. Just get creative & keep in mind the patterns that you've used.

Change speeds, mix location, don't be scared to work the count

Which pitching method are you using?
