I had it happen after a game while reviewing the box score. So I think that the fact that it has happened for you in the second inning might just be a coincidence.

Maybe so, I can't speak for everyone else, but I would say I get it almost exclusively in the 2nd inning.

How do you back up Playstation saves? Can you put them on a flash drive?

I don't use anything external if that's what you mean. I just have 2 saves and I rotate overwriting them as I go. I also have a cloud save which I update every few games. No sticks or anything.

I know I'm probably the odd-man-out here, but I don't really know how to use cloud. Where and how do I even make an account?

Do you have a PSN? Can you access roster vaults etc?? I think that's all you need. On the DATA page in franchise mode where SAVE, LOAD, and DELETE are, there is an UPLOAD TO CLOUD option in the lower right corner. I just click on that and it lets me save to a mysterious cloud somewhere.

Oh, I never even noticed that. Cool. Thanks. I just uploaded it. I've now played three games in a row without a crash... fingers crossed.

Here's something I was thinking that might have caused the issue. It may be completely unrelated but...

I've turned the game off (held the PS button down, went down to the bottom and shut the machine off) mid-game before. I've only done this a few times for various reasons. I'm wondering if doing this is bad for the system. Kind of the same way that you shouldn't just hit the power button on a PC. All the systems, operations, applications, etc. that are running might be screwed up somehow. I don't know if this is the case, but just a thought.

Just happened to me in my 141st game of the season!

Bottom of the 4th, 2 out, bases loaded and Homer Bailey... yes the freakin' pitcher just glided one past short, to bring home a pair... put me down 3-1 and then the error.

What i noticed before that was the PIP of the bases went black and then the game dumped to desktop...

I hope this isnt going to wreck my save
