How is the power swing working for you?

It is early in my RTTS career, but power seems pretty useless. I feel like the square button is used more for "Flyball" swing than anything. I don't feel like my guy really hits it any harder.

I need to get his power up before I can truly make this claim, but in previous versions if I squared up the PCI while using power then I would hit the ball a lot harder than compared to a normal/contact swing. I would hit a lot of line drives with power.

Now it seems like Normal is almost the same as power, except with normal your PCI is bigger.

I only use power when it's a 3-1 count. Honestly the "normal" swing nets me plenty of home runs, and like you said, the power swing seems to be great for pop ups.

I generally avoid the power swing. I think it is more useful for those who use guess pitch.

Only time I use it is with Chris Davis when I am ahead.

Re: How is the power swing working for you?

I've had no luck with the power swing. All I seem to get from it are fly outs and ground outs.

I hit plenty of home runs with the normal swing, so I just use normal swings 95% of the time.

I don't do much RTTS, but I'm fin finding that it has helped me more this year. Previous versions I could never quite get it. Contact has been remarkable in how it works.

I don't use power or contact, only use normal and it gets me into plenty battles with the pitchers, so no need for contact, and plenty of homeruns, no need for power. Normal all the way!

Countless times I've guessed correct location and used power swing to no positive results . Ever. I don't use the square button to hit anymore.

Re: How is the power swing working for you?

I have hit more homeruns with the contact swing than I have the power swing.

I am not a fan of the power swing, as you can't check your swing and unless you square the ball up perfectly, you are going to pop up or beat it into the ground.
