Does anyone play this game with default sliders? I appreciate the slider guy's efforts but I'm just about burned out on all sports game sliders. It seems to be a never ending process. Is anyone getting great games on default?

Re: Anyone play with default sliders?
Default sliders has it's issues for me so it's become a must that they are tweaked. However, this game is so well done you have to be even more careful than before with its changes. It's like tuning a very delicate high speed racing vehicle, but when you get it right it is extraordinarily rewarding.
But my reason to not play the game in default sliders, is fielding is hardly enjoyable, even on Legend difficulties everything can be done too easily. Same with hitting, same with pitching, I feel like the AI in these sliders are bailing you out with regard to everything. If you swing poorly at a pitch you still make contact on default, or put balls in play that shouldn't or hit the ball too well too often. Overly rewarded just for making decent contact. Pitching feels controlled by those sliders, you have to go well out of your way to miss a pitch with sliders on default mode. That's not even a good thing because you will consistently end up leaving balls in areas that can be hit too so the effect is kind of a double whammy.
I want to play and know I'm controlling everything that's going on and not influenced so much by what the AI expects to be done. Not knocking the default sliders entirely, they play a well done game of baseball in its own right but there is something more that I'm looking for. And ultimately it is all about what you want to have from your game.Red LegendComment

Re: Anyone play with default sliders?
Sliders come in handy when you are either getting dominated or are unbeatable. If you want a good sim experience though than sliders for me are a must to best replicate real life stats. But like another poster mentioned earlier in the thread about the game already being a great experience. As a result it's like tuning a race car...you are just making minor tweaks to fit your style of play. Also when you make an adjustment to a slider you need to give it a few games before you form any conclusions about its effectiveness.Comment

Re: Anyone play with default sliders?
I play on Quick Counts Default Allstar Hit and Vet pitching and Im having incredible games with great stats !
I mean this game plays so well out of the box its amazingly realistic with no adjustments as the programming is so well done .
I think by tweaking anything other then level or pitch speed can effect what SCEA has programmed so well as it can cause a really bad domino effect.
People also dont test many games like 20 at minimum and then start tweaking things they dont understand as randomness so I rather go off my level skill and let SCEA programming unfold .Finally Roster share in NHL 22 ! Dreams do come true ! To Garryowen and Glory boys !Comment

Default Sliders and Dynamic Difficulty in RTTS and Franchise.
I have no issues that are constant, every now and then something might be a little quirky but whatever, it's baseball. I take it as you have your good nights and you have your bad night.
I'm on HOF Pitching and All-Star Hitting at the moment with Dynamic.
