Question about bringing up prospects in Franchise Mode.

So i asked this question to the guys in my online league and no one had an answer. If i have a young prospect, does it hinder his progress if i call him up and use him versus letting him stay in the minors and develop? I just wondered if made a difference in this game.

Nope it does not change his progress but it does make it harder for him to excel which can lead to a cold streak and lowering his potential.

I've got a follow-up question, is there any development penalty for playing a young player in one of their "2nd positions"? Is there any existing attribute penalty as well?

You could play Joc Pederson from the Dodgers at catcher if you wanted to. Doesn't really matter if his stats fit the position

My understanding is there is no penalty for secondary position but there is if you plug them in a position that is not listed as primary or secondary positions. I think it is like 20% or something, so putting Andrelton Simmons in the OF will still make him be a better OF than say Mike Morse anyways!
