Playing against Universal Profiles

I remember a selling point being that you could download your friends Universal Profile Tendencies, and essentially be playing against them (offline against a computer using their info)....

I haven't come across this anywhere in the game. Is this for online only?

Am i able to play an exhibition game or other modes against an another friends profile. All of my friends have over 20 games, which is what it needs. What am i missing?

Extra Innings, in Diamond Dynasty, has a mode like that. You play against another player's team offline, and his team's AI follow his "tendencies." I don't know if you can choose a friend to play against in Extra Innings, though.
