Starting pitchers repeating

I've noticed the CPU has started Wainwright every single game in a recent series against me. Has anyone else ran into this? If so, have you stumbled on a fix?

Thanks all.

Swenk.

Re: Starting pitchers repeating

I noticed this last year too.

I think it happens whenever the CPU does a call up or send-down, or if they adjust for an injured player... in either case the CPU will "auto-re order" their lineup and thus, make a guy start back to back even when he is tired, if the auto adjust happens to work out that way.

It's definitely a bug, and it's lame.

I listed it in the bug thread here and on their website last year, but it never got fixed.

The only way to stop it is to turn off injuries all-together.

I'm not sure why it's still bugged. I guess the dev team doesn't read their own bug reports on their website, or they don't know how to fix it.

Re: Starting pitchers repeating

I don't suppose anyone knows a work-around for this?

The CPU is trying to start Adam Wainright against me 2 times in a 3 games series. He's only at like 35% fatigue to start since he is still tired from the first game he started in the series against me.

I guess the CPU adjusted heir lineup somehow mid-series, and it says I'm going to face him again.

Anyone? lol.

I also wonder how often this happens in CPU vs CPU games I'm not paying attention to...

What an annoying bug.

You could try switching the Cardinals prior to playing and pick a different starter.

I can adjust the opposing teams roster in my off-line chise? Do I switch controllers or something?

I'm going the Pawtucket Red Sox game in RI today, but I'll try it at home tonight, thanks for the tip.
