Re: Is stealing broken?
wait, you're wondering why you can't steal with 36 speed and 24 base stealing ability?
Have you tried with somebody a little faster or at least better at getting a good jump on the pitch?I used to put important things hereComment

Re: Is stealing broken?
Is this a trick question? You're not supposed to be able to steal successfully with a guy with that low of speed. That's like saying a Molina brother is supposed to be able to steal bases easily even tho they are slow as heck. It's common sense that players with low speed and steal ability won't always be successful while stealing bases.est 1978

Guys, he is talking about that he is always safe. He is wondering if it is a game issue or if he can fix it with sliders. Is this a trick question? Ugh....really? Please re-read what I am saying. I can steal with guys that I have no business stealing with...All my question was was it a game issue or a slider issue...I am using TNK slider set and I might have to tinker with itComment

Re: Is stealing broken?
if you steal like that raise throw strength and/or lower baserunner speed.
you should be going about 50-60% success on stealing 2nd with a 70ish speed rating when your sliders are balancedComment

Re: Is stealing broken?
Re: Is stealing broken?
It must be a slider issue or something. I hesitate stealing with anyone with around 55-60 speed because I get thrown out with them 4 outta 5 times. Even guys with 70 rated speed are hit and miss for me. With them, it's more about how good my jump is, what the pitcher is throwing and where the pitch ends up.
Seems ok to me.

Re: Is stealing broken?
Isn't there literally a "steal success" slider?
Also, throw speed slider, runner speed slider.
I don't mean to be dick but I mean .... common sense here, no?Comment

Re: Is stealing broken?
I was about to say the first 5-6 people who posted have terrible reading comprehension. It's not rocket science to understand that the guy was stealing successfully with someone with 24 SA and 34 SPD and that was his problem.Comment

Re: Is stealing broken?
I don't even worry about what my player's ratings are, as long as they aren't terribly slow, because more often than not, the catcher will completely miss with the throw. Thanks to LBzrules: So these threads won't be forever lost.
