Offline Franchise - Not Sure if Ump Personalities Are "Cycling"?

I've noticed over the last 20 or 25 games that it seems like I'm getting the exact same umpire "personality" behind the plate, despite it looking like there are different umpires every game. Though I haven't figured out where the umpires are listed, I definitely seem to get a black ump and a white ump, so the game at least knows to put up different models, game to game.

Nevertheless, it seems as if I'm getting the same calls - generous on the inside to righties/outside to lefties, pinching like a miser on the inside to lefties/outside to righties, and completely schizophrenic on borderline low pitches - to the point where I've begun pitching everyone the same way. It's a bummer.

Is anyone else seeing anything like this? I feel like I'm missing out on something.

To see which ump is there each game go to the gamelog and its there. As for strike zone's changing between ump's I tend to see the same random zone every game it seems so I tend to agree with what you mentioned.

Having the same experience. The pitches on the outside part of the plate to right handed batters....my god. So frustrating. Right in the middle of the strike zone, clearly over the plate and in the box, always a ball.

        Thanks for confirming, guys.

Out of curiosity, are you guys using 30-team control?

Yes I use 30 team control and have for a couple years now. My desire to keep trades realistic without teams gutting their farm systems for 35 year old veteran relief pitchers is the entire reason I started doing it and continue doing it.

I am seeing this issue also with the umps. Setting is on Variable, but after 30+ games the strike zone is the same every gm! Little annoying!

I feel as if I am also seeing this issue. I hope it is just in my head and not really the case.

Yeah, I'm still seeing the same problems. I've tried toggling the "Variable Umpire" on and off, and it doesn't seem to help.

I've played a couple of Exhibition Games, and I'm getting a different umpire personality (or at least, I think so). So I think it's unique to Franchise.

Any of you online Franchisers having the same issue?

Once again, here's a plug to get this voted up in the bug reports: http://theshownation.com/bug_reports/13630

Off topic, but a few years back there used to be an amazing feature where if you did 30 team control teams could still make automatic trade offers. You could still get pop ups asking if you wanted to accept it or not. That feature was amazing and god only knows why it was removed.

I loved it, and now you have to check every day to see if there are any trade offers.

Oops, reading comprehension. I understand, and miss that too.

I am kind of shocked more guys are not seeing this problem with the Umpire personalities NOT cycling. I have switched to OFF cause it is very frustrating seeing this same strike zone.
