What is your WAR?

Use the simple calculator to see what your WAR is.

It won't be perfect since it is a simple model and based of 2012 averages, but we can all contrast and compare our RTTS guys or Franchise superstars!

Simple version: http://wahoosonfirst.com/war-calcula...s/version-1-1/

Updated version: http://wahoosonfirst.com/war-calcula...s/version-2-1/

State your difficulty and which calculator you used.

Re: What is your WAR?

Here are my first season stats. I got drafted by the Rockies and Traded to the Cards. I only played as a September call up in the first year and made for the second season. I was only on the bench however for the first month or so until I switched positions to 2b (originally a SS).

.312 AVG
413 AB's
21 HR's
70 RBI's
62 Runs
.339 OBP
.569 SLG
.333 AVG with RISP
66 SB and 6 CS
.908 OPS

WAR: 5.2
RAR: 49.3
Value (in millions):23.2

This is Legend mode with cpu pitch consistency and control down a notch.

I was really good at working counts, but I often would check swing or get rang up on a close 3-2 pitch. I need to max out my plate discipline and my strikeouts would have dropped in half.

Re: What is your WAR?

My Yankees SS first year. Called up in mid 2015.

93 Games
391 ABs
.233 AVG
.276 OBP
.414 SLG
.690 OPS
14 HRs
48 RBI
21 SB
12 CS

.250 BABIP
.298 wOBA
.181 ISO
K% 17.9%
BB% 5.4%

RAR: 17.8
WAR 1.9
Value: $8.4 (a lot more than my under $1M contract)

I built a fast-defensive SS with a lot of power. My contact is low, so my AVG suffers. I set my D at 2 and my BS at 3. My second year is a lot better. Tough rookie season.

Edit: I used TNK's Sliders and used both calculators. v1 displayed above. v2 - 1.8 WAR

Re: What is your WAR?

I think my K to BB's were 45 to 20...
So I'd say my K rate around around 9% and BB rate was 4.5%

I didn't draw many walks, but I worked the count pretty well. I am drawing a lot more walks my second season. Power and Discipline seem to help a lot.

I also turned off the check appeal. I don't see how they even know if you went or not when the buttons aren't even analog based anymore and even with 80 plate discipline they were saying I went nearly every time.

Yes turning off check swing appeals is a must in my opinion!! It's about useless.

Re: What is your WAR?

I had no idea you could do that. Will do from now on.

Re: What is your WAR?

I am having a much better 2nd year. I'm not making mistakes on the basepaths and my defense has been top notch. I am walking a lot more and not striking out much, plus I am driving in more runs (mainly because I actually got the opportunity).

However my team is only .500. We are 45-45 and it doesn't seem right. Here is our lineup:

Bourjos (he shouldn't be leading off but oh well)
Oscar Tavaras (He isn't performing as well as I figured he'd be)
Matt Carpenter (He is always on base...has like a .400+ OBP)
My guy
Matt Adams
Yadier Molina
Jhonny Peralta (still solid)
Nate Schierholtz (Replacement level but bats 8th and platoons)
Pitcher

Rotation:
Wayno
Wacha
Lynn
Kelly
Gonzalez

Bullpen: Martinez, Siegrest, Rosenthal

Yet we have guys like Scott Feldman and some other bums in the pen who keep blowing games. For some reason we traded Shelby Miller, Holliday, and Craig for older veterans. We got Bautista for 2 years and he retired. He was useless last year. We also have Adam Lind on the bench, who is a nice backup but we could have Allen Craig or Holliday starting in the OF over Nate Schierholtz.

I wish there was more ways to interact with the manager. Like complain about a certain player or ask they be traded or something.

Re: What is your WAR?

Can't believe that team is only .500. I love Matt Carpenter. So underrated. Should be an all-star this year.

Is there a way to interact and request a certain position in the lineup? I know you could in the 2k series. Maybe request a certain slot you'd prefer and see if the results differ.

My player doesn't deserve clean-up, but I am there. I was there in the season posted above, believe it or not. I'd really like to follow TangoTiger's lineup order and eventually, when I am good enough, slot myself in at second in the order.
