Every AI batter has barry bonds discipline

Seems every CPU hitter is barry bonds in their plate discipline. Lead the league in Runs against, ERA yet near last in strikeouts, pitches just off thew plate that almost always take rarely get strikouts them chasing. I thought I read they fixed this for this year somewhere or did I dream it? Either way definitely still an issue.

This really ruins the pitching for me.

I've gotten quite a few to chase pitches outside the zone.

I strike out quite a few CPU batters on chased pitches out of the zone. I also get a ton of strike outs with elite pitchers as well. Struck Edwin Encarnacion out 4 times in one game. 3 of the 4 were on pitches he chased out of the zone.

I would think it has at least something to do with sliders tho.

I see it on occasion, but I also see them swing at junk as well, especially if you've got them fooled.

I do have adjusted sliders though - I have CPU Contact at 3 and Timing at 2 on HoF Classic Pitching.

I played last year's game with the same settings and see a marked difference. I think they did improve it this year.

IMO it's vastly improved. I've experienced far more CPU batters chasing pitches this year!

I bump up the CPU contact +2 CPU power +2 solid hits +3. Still get good results of pitches chased by the CPU. All human sliders are minus 2.

Re: Every AI batter has barry bonds discipline

I don't feel like they won't chase a pitch but it's not as humanistic as it could be for sure and you definitely have a point. You can get strikeouts but for a variety of reasons the CPU batting will need to be adjusted if you want to try and enjoy a more realistic opponent. I have their contact and timing at 2 a piece and that's after tinkering their contact all the way up to 10 which was utter ridiculousness.

My touring with CPU batters is still a work in progress, but I'm now at the point where statistically everything is well balanced as for their offensive production, with the added balance of them hitting the ball realistically and not like computers would. I still feel like they can be even more competitive with me though so there as still some things to look forward to for me when it comes to CPU batters.
