Franchise Batting Order Questions !!! how often u switch up batting order ??

I am playing only a 1 yr. franchise on allstar level hitting and pitching. I don't have much playing time.... so I play 1 game, sim 8, play 1 , sim 8 ... im using this schedule for the whole season. I play as the Reds and currently about 1/3 through the season at 27-27 . I have lineups set to manual. My leadoff man Billy Hamilton is batting a terrible . 190 . The Reds don't have much speed,so I'd like to leave Hamilton in leadoff spot. When I sim a game,i look at the boxscore to see his productivity before I sim the next game. Should I stick with Hamilton as my leadoff guy in simmed games,or maybe replace him for a week or so ? Or maybe drop him to 7th in the order ? When I actually play a game,i leave him in the leadoff spot. I have my batting orders set the same v.s. righties and lefties in the lineup menu. Basically, how often do you guys manually change batting order if certain guys are struggling? Ive read the best way to get him out of his funk is to just keep playing him . Any tips or useful info would be great. Thanx in advance !!!

I'm always checking the batter splits vs LHP and RHP and also the hot/cold streaks.
I adjust my lineups just about every game in some way...either batting order spots or subs and then moving guys up and down the order.

I also keep in mind guys that K and BB alot and have been moving them up/down as well.

Finally....disregarding actual ratings at times....I will just sit a player if he is not hitting.(Chris Young I'm looking at you )....and go with the guy who is doing well.

Thanks Knight for the info. Will a cold symboled player loose his cold symbol if I put him on the bench for a week or 2,or does he have to be in the lineup to loose the snowflake ??

Re: Franchise Batting Order Questions !!! how often u switch up batting order ??

I hardly change mine up. I play as the Braves and my averages right now are near exact what they are in real life. I have some games where I get 10 runs in the first 3 innings and some games where I get shutout. I more or less have my starters where I want them and don't really see a point in moving them around in the order. However, when I do have somebody resting and have a sub in, I will rearrange it differently. Overall though, it stays the same for me.

I fantasy draft and my line up didn't click until I found a good base lineup to use.

I keep my lineup the same, but different CF versus Righty/lefty. I also rest players when I think their energy is too low...

Changing up your order will have little to no effect on your offensive output, unless you are leading your pitcher off or something.

I leave it roughly the same.

Re: Franchise Batting Order Questions !!! how often u switch up batting order ??

I'm about a month into season 2 with the Royals and I had Alex Gordon hitting 3rd. Well after a month or so he was hitting .260 and Eric Hosmer, who was hitting 5th, was hitting well over .300 so I flip flopped them. I don't do it very often though unless a sub is involved.

If a guy is getting low on stamina and a guy on the bench hasn't played for awhile, I'll sub him in then adjust the order. Otherwise its exactly the same every game.
