RTTS stealing bases with button interface

Hi,I'm playing MLB14 TS on the PS4

I can steal bases with the RTTS baserunning interface set to ANALOG. I just press R1 to take some steps and push the Left thumb stick up (or to the richt)

But I prefer using the BUTTON interface while basrunning and while doing so I can't steal bases using those button interface.

So how do I steal bases with the button interface?

When I want to steal 2nd I'm pressing R1 and the arrow becomes green and that's it. I can press any button I want, but my guy wont start running to 2nd.

But sometimes when I hold the R1 button the arrow is green....when the catcher gets into position.....my guy suddenly starts running and steals 2nd...and I'm just holding R1 and didn't touch any other button.

and then after this I do the same and nothing happens

So is this random?

Can anyone help me?

You can tap R2 and ur player will steal on movement.

thanks...that worked...damn I tried everything and the solution is so simple as this
