Complete lack of HBPs in Offline Franchise

Playing offline Franchise, playing the games myself (rarely simming the last few innings of blow-outs). At the All-Star break, my batters have been hit 7 times, and I think at least two of those happened during sim-times. The other teams in the leagues have between 22-38 HBPs.

I don't think there's anyway to see how many times I've hit the computer, but I believe I can count them on one hand. And at least two of those were thrown after I gave up ridiculous home runs, and wanted to injure someone.

Is anyone else having this problem? Or better yet, a solution? I'm scared to touch any sliders to try and get more HBPs on both sides of the ball, but I'd love to hear suggestions.

Lower CPU Pitch Consistency. That's the slider that governs things like potential HBP. The same is true for your pitcher (Human Pitch Consistency). You can also do more pitching inside with lower control. Sometimes, you'll plunk guys. Just the nature of working in tight.

Also, if you see a pitch really bearing in and it might hit you, check your swing (successfully). That tends to stop the batter from trying to avoid the pitch and since you didn't swing, it won't be a swinging strike. Instead, you take your base for a HBP.

It does expose your player to the pitch, and I'm not sure if that impacts your injury chance, but it might - so be warned if you do that.

Yeah I'd like to see more HBPs also, on both sides..... I don't really want to lower consistency sliders (I already have both at 2) because I already get a good amount of wild pitches and stuff, and too many wild pitches is way more annoying than not enough HBPs.

So I just kinda accept it for what it is

KBLovers is right. I get a HBP probably better than every other game.

Now if you can figure out a way to get a 100 SB and/or 100 BB season...I'm all ears.

Are you playing with default sliders?

Thanks, I'll give this a try. I'm more than a little nervous about fooling with Human consistency, as I'm already the leader (loser) in walks by a large, large margin, but I'll give it a shot for a game or two.

Does the Fielder Errors slider help with WP/PB?

Was thinking maybe low Fielder Error would lessen those plays, leaving mostly HBP "alive" as a result more often?

Then again, I don't get a lot of WP/PB this year (last year it was way more of an issue for me) with 0 Consistency. Not sure what that's about since you're seeing a good amount at 2. Who knows?

Lower consistency should help with the BB's too?

Granted, I've not hit 100 walks (I don't think) but I figured that's me swinging at the crap too much.
