Stuck at title screen

Hello boys, I'm having a random issue here. I played a game of franchise earlier, a saved my chise then turned off my ps4 properly. The last 4-5 times I've tried to play MLB The Show, I can't get further than the title screen. The game freezes and then my PS4 has an error when trying to close the application. Other games open just fine. Any thoughts / fixes? Appreciate it in advance.




Edit: VERY weird thing just occurred. My game was frozen as I was typing this post. I then did another search on the Show Nation forums to see if anyone else was having this issue. My game then randomly went into a demo, which I immediately exited, and it brought me to the main menu. Very odd....

That might be related to the PSN issues that have been reported lately? If your PS is always connected to the internet, I'd try using it offline to see if you can at least get the game to launch.

I was having this issue too, unfortunately for me the only thing that worked was turning it off and on a couple times and then it finally started working

Yep you have to go to settings and turn it to NOT connect to the Internet. Worked right away after not working for 3 hours

Same thing happened to me: Got to the start screen with Miggy, when I pushed options the theme music played but the game froze. Turned it off a few times and the problem still persisted. Then I went into PS4 settings and turned off my internet connection and was able to get through.

interesting... I will deff try this next time I start up the game. I did connect to the internet before I played so I could definitely see this being the problem.

Yeah, a hacker group hit both PSN and XBL recently. That's the issues going on.

A workaround is, let the game go in to demo mode. Then exit out of demo game (as early as the intro to the demo game). This will take you directly to the front end menu.

OMG!!!
Thought it was my game and just deleted and started loading again. I guess I will be playing again in about 3 hours (download time).
