    Offseason Help

    Hey guys,
As the title says, I need some help with the offseason. I have been an Xbox user for years, so '14 was my first The Show game in a long time. I just finished my first season (lost 4-1 to the Dodgers in the World Series) and now I am in the offseason. I am just wondering what the strategies are. I believe I have offered contracts to everyone eligible, sent a couple to arbitration etc. What do I do with the guys who show up with nothing in the right column, e.g. Eligible for Arbitration etc, they are just blank? I guess just some general offseason suggestions would be great. Baseball rules have to be some of the most confusing in sports. Rule 5 drafts, arbitration, options etc. I have gone through the handbook a couple times which is super helpful. Anyway, I would love to hear how you guys work through the offseason. Looking forward to '15 in March, but I want to learn all this stuff before so I'm ready to go.

Yeah, the offseason aspects of the game are NOT very intuitive, and the game does next to nothing to guide you along the way. Even knowing real life MLB details pretty well, it took me a long time to figure the game out. There's something to be said for a game that finds the sweet spot between holding your hand and throwing you to the wild, and The Show has always erred on the side of too much of the latter, IMO.
