As much as I enjoy MLB The Show, I have never taken time off from work on release day. Typically, I pick up the game on my lunch break and dabble into a game or two after work.

This year will be no exception as I preordered my copy from Amazon. I normally don't preorder, but I got suckered into the $130 in free DLC.

I can't believe that no one to this point has referred to this in the correct terminology... This is called a Showcation!

I work the sunday before release so I gotta take a day off sometime during that week. I normally would take release day tuesday off but Im changing it up this year and Im taking off wednesday.

Will squeeze in a few games tuesday night after picking up. Then I will set my alarm for 6 am wednesday morning. Wake up, brew a pot of coffee, and have a show marathon ALL DAY long while my fiance is a work. I've already put my foot down and told her there will be no honey-do's getting done that day, so dont even ask! 😜
