Official uniform errors and omissions 2015 edition

As always, love the game and this post is not here to discuss slots, style guide issues, etc. Its purpose is to identify MISSING and/or ERRORS to each team’s 2015 gear. Feel free to add on or PM me and I’ll update the main posting. As I play the game, I'll identify more errors and things such as mismatched batting helmets. There are a bunch of preset errors (ex: Cards cream with sunday hats), but you're stuck in RTTS, but not franchise. This will NOT include special jerseys such as negro league throwbacks, stars and stripes, etc. It will be focused on home and away as well as regularly rotated throwbacks and alternates.

Red Sox:
Yankees:
Rays: MISSING-fauxback uniforms, striped socks/stirrups ERROR-light blue alternate lacks outline around names. Bp lacks outline around names. Devil rays uniforms should have black accessories and socks rather than green.
Blue Jays:ERROR-missing white stripe on gray pants and sleeve. MISSING- red bp hat
Orioles:ERROR-incorrect sock color shading on throwback

Tigers:
Royals:
White Sox:MISSING-throwback bp hat ERROR-road pants are from 2013. Current road pants have simple black piping and not white/black stripes
Twins: MISSING-didn't think I saw new gold trimmed alternate hat ERROR-road pants missing stripes, should have red back numbers on alternate blue jersey. Uses the m helmet with home alternate instead of Tc.
Indians: ERROR-use red accessories with navy alternates.

A’s:ERROR-road alternate pants are white, old green helmet/yellow logo used as road helmet
Rangers: ERROR- when choosing red hats with home uniforms, you get blue accessories (which really cannot be considered an error since the white homes come with blue)
Mariners: MISSING-Cream sunday hats/jersey ERROR-should use dark navy shade and teal is too dark
Astros: MISSING-current orange hat, all orange accessories like socks
Angels: ERROR-wearing black instead of red belts/cleats

Mets: MISSING-Military Monday camo hats/jerseys ERROR-home warm up pants are discontinued white pants. Using incorrect road helmet. Using old warm up jackets.
Braves:
Nationals: ERROR- when using red shirts as away team, they should use navy road helmets.
Marlins: ERROR-Home BP hat is incorrectly all white. Incorrect color on numbers on helmets. Incorrect thickness of neck piping. Wrong color m on bp jerseys. Home uniforms should have single layer of piping. MISSING-teal/black throwback hats.
Phillies: ERROR-maroon throwbacks have black and white striped socks rather than maroon stirrups.

Pirates: MISSING-Thursday Camo hats/jerseys, Sunday BP (which they never take BP on Sunday so no big deal) ERROR-All jerseys have current font rather than just on the home/road/black/bp, incorrect socks on Sunday uniforms, Sunday uniforms shouldn't have pirate on sleeve, Home throwback should have a thick yellow stripes outlined in black pinstripes. Now wear a matte finish helmet.
Cubs: ERROR-current font on road alternate jersey, no names on throwback road jerseys, throwback home have red instead of blue numbers
Cardinals: ERROR- road alternates are missing navy belts
Brewers: MISSING-Gold alternate jersey, current throwback home jersey (the throwback home is different year)
Reds:

Giants: MISSING-new black alternate jersey
Dodgers:
Rockies: ERROR-purple added under black sleeves on black vest. Should use thin stripes on road pants.
Diamondbacks:ERROR-now have matte finish helmets, sleeveless throwbacks should just have purple sleeves and not the same sleeves on purple throwback jersey.
Padres:ERROR-missing names on back of throwbacks

So far the list is looking a lot better than 2014

This is one of the few areas in the game that has disappointed me over the years. The NBA 2K franchise has shown that games can have lots of jerseys and I'm disappointed MLB hasnt upped the number of slots yet.

I could understand if there are bugs with the uniforms which should be fixed in a patch (like someone already pointed out with the Brewers where the game is rendering the wrong hats and wrong socks for a given alternate uniform). But if you are expecting SCEA to update the game with a patch to include some uniforms you feel should be in the game, I am afraid it isn't going to happen. Not this year. Ramone in several of the streams has already explained the situation and explained why SCEA chose the uniforms that they included in the game. Perhaps in future years they will change the game to include more uniform slots, but it isn't going to happen with a patch this year.

Still love the game, and no I don't expect fixes this year unless it's a bug like the brewers uni issue that's fixed in the day one patch, but I do hope we get a bigger selection of unis in the future.

I haven't played the game yet, but in your post, you use the example of the Cardinals cream and Sunday cap combo.

Are you sure that is an error? They discussed in a stream how they were now allowed to do this because the game will now automatically mix and match hats, pants, and uniforms.

So in RTTS, would the game not choose Home cap, Cream alt for Saturday games and Home alt cap, Home white for Sunday games?

When the Nats wear their red jerseys on the road, they still wear their blue batting helmets. But in The Show they always wear red batting helmets with their red jersey no matter if they are home or away.

Batting helmets are tied to jersey selection, but this would be fixed if batting helmets were tied to hat selection. Seems like a better pairing to me.

I like others love this game and get it every year but uniforms can be a little disappointing. One small thing I was looking forward to but that was big to me was having the World Series Champions patch on the Giants sleeve...I was told back on PS3 days there wasn't enough space. Figured with the PS4's capability it would be added now but it's still not. Of course not a deal breaker but it is a little disappointing

I believe rtts chooses premade combos so it would be whatever is listed as alt from top to bottom and this year it's paired with the Sunday cap. In franchise, you can change it to be correct. The A's have mismatched pairs as well. I can't see the game mix/match all combos randomly because you might have a mess

I like others love this game and get it every year but uniforms can be a little disappointing. They're never going to do World Series patches. It wouldn't make any sense to. Because as soon as you enter Season 2, the Giants would still have 2014 patches.

I was surprised they had the 100th Anniversary patches for Fenway and Wrigley.

Problem is the O's wear black hats with the white panel helmet with black alternates. So it would still be wrong if they gave us white panel helmet with white panel hat with black alternates.

Also the white panel helmets are only at home I believe. So the Orange and black alternates away uniforms should be black hat and black helmet.

Did they fix the lettering on the back of the Cubs home throwbacks? It has NEVER been red like it has been in the game for the past couple of years.

Does anyone with the game know if the Indians still don't have red undershirts and socks with their cream color alternates. This has bugged me for years and gets mentioned every year to no avail. (this is not a style guide issue)

The Braves don't wear their red jersey any more. So it's not technically "missing". The one they used a few times last year was a military uniform with stars in the logo.
